Isn't it ironic how the nonprofit leaders trying to change the world don't get the same shot at doing it?

BIPOC founders, ESL leaders, and organizations in under-resourced communities are doing some of the most important work out there.

And yet... often without the training, funding, or networks to grow.

Our goal at Gryphon is precisely to make sure all leaders, no matter what, have what they need to get there.

What does real support for underrepresented nonprofit leaders look like to you?

Let us know in the comments and share this with someone who needs to see it.

In 2025, according to the reports made in "The STate of Generosity" global charitable giving reached $2.3 trillion

Yes, TRILLION.

The world is still filled with generous, caring people.

It's especially important to remind ourselves of that in times of division and instability.

At the Gryphon Foundation, we choose to be kind, and we choose to encourage and support the kindness we want to see in the world.

This is why we exist.

Every founder we mentor, every microgrant we give, every barrier we help remove for BIPOC leaders, ESL founders, and international NGOs...

This is the measurement we care about.

For the next 36 hours, 401Gives, the biggest Giving Event in the State of Rhode Island, is live.

Every dollar gifted to the Gryphon Foundation can unlock bonus pool funds, stretching your contribution further than a standard gift.
$5, $25, $50, or $100.

And where does that money go?
Into helping nonprofits all over the world, with the mentorship, training, and early funding they need to build their organization.

Here's something we believe that doesn't get said enough...

Founders aren't the issue.

They have a Mission and very little else.
No runway or roadmap... No one in their corner when things get hard.

So they pour everything into it anyway.
And most of the time... that still isn't enough.

That shouldn't be their story.

Tag someone building something right now.
Let's make sure they know they don't have to do it alone.

Did you know U.S. nonprofits generated over 1.4 trillion dollars in economic activity in 2023?

That is 5.2% of national GDP. More than 12 million jobs.
A sector that touches nearly every community in this country.

The nonprofit sector is enormous and what it gives back is even bigger.

And yet the founders driving these numbers are consistently the least resourced and funded.

And we want to change this.

What do you think it would take to better resource the leaders doing this work? Drop your thoughts below.

This quote by RBG has been sitting with us for a minute.

"Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time."

In nonprofit work, that's your day-to-day motto.

You know what we mean...
-> The founder who files the paperwork at midnight because no one else will?
-> Or the volunteer who comes back the following week, and the week after that?

None of it looks like much from the outside.

The organizations doing the most important work in the world rarely get celebrated in the moment. They get recognized years later, if at all, by the communities they quietly changed.

Those are the people we are here for.
The ones taking the steps that don't get seen.

Tag a founder who deserves to be recognized today.
Let's give them their moment in the comments.

We want to tell you about the two organizations that inspired Gryphon Foundation for Global Change.

American Access Institute gives at-risk teens aging out of foster care the skills to build a real future.

Before they could fundraise, they spent months navigating incorporation and tax exemption. Founders covered every cost themselves.

Reach For A Dream has been granting wishes to critically ill children in South Africa for 35 years.

Their track record speaks for itself. Without a U.S. presence, they are still at a financial disadvantage compared to organizations doing the same work.

Different countries. Different causes.
The same broken system in the way...

This is why Gryphon exists.

-> To help organizations like these build U.S. entities, unlock global funding, and get out of their own way so they can focus on the work.

Find out more about their stories and share this with someone who needs to see it.
