Every rescue has a story, and every animal deserves safety, compassion, and lifelong care.

At Don’t Forget Us, Pet Us, we rescue abused, neglected, and unwanted farm and domestic animals, providing a safe sanctuary where they can heal and live with dignity. We also bring our community together through humane education, outreach, volunteer opportunities, and events that help people connect with the animals we serve.

Your support helps make this work possible. Please share our posts to help more people across Dartmouth and Southeastern Massachusetts learn about our mission, meet our rescued animals, and find ways to get involved.

What does a day in the life of a sanctuary volunteer look like? Sometimes, the most meaningful work happens behind the scenes.

Volunteers can help with grant writing, merchandise design, social media, fundraising, event planning, community outreach, and other projects that keep our sanctuary moving forward. Every application submitted, design created, and message shared helps support the lifelong care our animals depend on.

At Don’t Forget Us, Pet Us, there are many ways to give your time and talents. If you care about animals and have skills to share, we would love to hear from you.

If you are in Dartmouth or the South Coast MA area and would like to learn about volunteer opportunities, visit https://dontforgetuspetus.org.

Sitting with Miss Wynne-Dixie at the vets….again. We can add ear infection to her extramural ectopic ureter, leaky bladder and inverted v***a. Her list of perfections. ❤
You sweet girl are worth every vet visit and wet spot you leave on the floor

Puppy pic from her first vet visit In June and beautful big girl pic from today.

Wynn wanted a grow up.
There were not many options for her, it was euthanasia or find a place that could take on her issues. Something we could not do without you.

So thank you always for what you give to our animals, you gave her this grow up, it may not be the smoothest but she is so vibrant, happy and tackles every obstacle with lots of wet kisses and tail wags. I hope you think she is just as perfect and beautiful as we do!

As the year comes to a close, there is still time to make a meaningful difference for rescued animals in our community.

At Don’t Forget Us, Pet Us, every act of support helps provide lifelong, compassionate care for farm and domestic animals who have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment.

Here are three ways to help before December 31:

🤝 Volunteer with us. We're always looking for grant writers, help with our calendars, do administrative work, and creative work with our merch! Learn about opportunities at https://dontforgetuspetus.org.

🤝 Make a year-end gift. Donations of every size help us provide food, veterinary care, shelter, and comfort to the animals who call our sanctuary home. Visit https://dontforgetuspetus.org to give. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, eligible gifts may be tax-deductible.

🤝 Share our mission. Tell a friend, share this post, or invite someone to learn about animal rescue and lifelong sanctuary care in Dartmouth and across South Coast Massachusetts.

Thank you for standing with our animals and helping us continue this work. Every act of kindness matters.

Switch technology. Thank you to the incredible team that introduced this to me, made these for Kiki and showed up yesterday to educate us both! What a dream team we have and I’ll do a separate thank you with more vids but I couldn’t wait to share this with all of you!!

An fyi, these are pressure activated. When she releases slightly they shut off, she has to be pressing on them to run. I know many people think she is neuro and head bobs all the time but that’s only with dancing. She is so brilliant and deliberate!

With 100 days left in 2026, we are asking our amazing community to help Kiki get moving while also preparing for the winter ahead.

Kiki’s new sensory-motivated wheelchair will respond to her head movements, giving her more comfort, freedom, and opportunities to explore the world around her.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings us closer to meeting our match and making this life-changing wheelchair possible. Your kindness will also help us stock up on the hay our rescued animals need for nourishment, and care throughout the winter months.

Please consider donating or sharing Kiki’s story with someone who loves animals as much as you do: https://www.dontforgetuspetus.org/donate

Thank you for believing in all of our animals and helping us provide care, comfort, and full bellies for every animal who calls our sanctuary home.
