The Community Fund for the Gore Mountain Region provides support in the form of small grants for community-based projects and events in the towns of Chester, Horicon, Johnsburg, Minerva, and Schroon.100% of all money raised goes into the endowment, and grants are made annually. Supporting local government, schools and nonprofit organizations in the towns of Chester, Horicon, Johnsburg, Minerva and Schroon. The CFGMR provides grants in the areas of programs for seniors, youth and veterans, beautification, historical preservation, education and arts and culture.
