๐‡๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ began as ๐‡๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐จ๐ž๐ฌ - a simple idea carried by a small group of people who believed our veterans deserved a place of calm, connection, and community.

During our first season, we learned another Oregon program shared the same name. Out of respect, and to honor the unique path we were building here on the coast, we added one word that reflects who we are at our core: ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐.

This program was built shoulderโ€‘toโ€‘shoulder with a dedicated team of volunteers and in partnership with the Coos County Mounted Sheriffโ€™s Posse. The core team poured their heart and soul into every detail โ€” the early mornings, the late nights, the quiet moments of encouragement, the steady presence beside each veteran and each horse.

As we step into our second season, that same core remains. The work continues. The mission stays true.

Our focus โ€” 100% support for our veterans โ€” has not wavered.

If you come across information that leaves you uncertain or curious about the program, we encourage you to reach out directly. We will answer your questions with clarity and respect.

At the end of the day, Horses for Heroes United stands on the strength of community, service, and the lives changed in the arena โ€” one veteran, one horse, one moment at a time.

Public Service Announcement: Clarifying Veteran Services & Youth Programs

To our local community, Veterans, and partners:

We are sharing this notice to ensure that local Veterans and their families are directed to the correct resources and to clear up recent confusion regarding program names.

Horses for Heroes United is an established program specifically designed to serve Veterans. We have recently noted confusion regarding a separate local program, the"Horses for Heroes Buckaroo Camp" (operated by Lillies of the Field Equine Rescue).

To ensure clarity for those seeking support, please note:

* Distinct Missions: While our program is dedicated to serving Veterans directly, the "Buckaroo Camp" is a youth-focused program for the children of Veterans.

* No Affiliation: Horses for Heroes United is not affiliated with Lillies of the Field or their youth camp.

* Branding & Community Clarity: Last year, we proactively updated our name to Horses for Heroes United specifically to avoid confusion with other programs in Oregon. Utilizing the "Horses for Heroes" nameโ€”which we have spent a year establishing locallyโ€”has already led to Veterans being misdirected. We have reached out to request a naming adjustment that better reflects their unique mission; however, as they are currently unable to address the issue, we are moving forward with this notice to maintain clear boundaries between local services.

Our priority is making sure every Veteran finds the right program without delay. We appreciate the communityโ€™s help in sharing this information to ensure our local heroes and their families get to the right place.

If you have any questions about our Veteran-specific services, please reach out to us directly.
