First off: A special THANKS to everyone that kept your garden watered while we were out of town.

So much growth in the heat of summer.

There is still lettuce and snow peas available for harvest. I think the collard greens are getting ready to bolt, so you might want to get there to harvest.

The tomatoes and peppers are starting to flower and fruit!!

The potato experiment seems to be working out. We are seeing lots of flowers which mean tubers are starting to grow.

Next work day will be Saturday, June 13th at 8am. We will be planting beans and zuchinni, staking and pruning tomatoes.

If you haven't heard, May brings two Full Moons this year! πŸŒ•οΈ The Flower Moon occurred on May 1 at 1:23 P.M. ET, and we have yet to witness the "once in a Blue Moon" Blue Moon on May 31, peaking at 4:45 A.M. ET. πŸŒ•οΈ

The second full moon to occur in a calendar month defines a Blue Moon; It takes our Moon about 29.5 days to complete one cycle of phases (from new Moon to new Moon), so if a full Moon occurs on the first of a month, there will be a second full Moonβ€”a Blue Moonβ€”at the end of the month, too (except in February).

This year, the Blue Moon occurs near apogee, making it a micromoon. Learn more! Almanac.com/astronomy/moon/full
