Join Marathon County 4-H for a series of 3 pottery classes hosted by the Center for the Visual Arts in Wausau. Learn how to throw on a wheel, trim your creations, and glaze your fired bowls from the experts at the CVA. This series will take place over three (3) evenings, and youth will create a project from start to finish! Participants must attend all 3 workshops as they build off of each other to get to the finished product.

Date/Time: Thursdays, July 2, 9, and 16th from 5-7pm
Register by 6/24/2026
Fee: $25
Age: This program is intended for youth in Grade 8 and up for enrolled 4-H youth, but all are welcome!

At our May Norrie Lakers 4-H meeting, we had plans to get outside and plant flowers, but Wisconsin weather definitely was not cooperating with us 🌧️🌱 So instead, our members planted flowers indoors and still had a great time getting their hands dirty while preparing for our community projects!

Later that week, April and Krystle were able to get the flowers planted behind Chet & Emil’s and around the Matsche Center. Thank you both for taking the time to help brighten up our community for the summer! 💚☘️

Rain or shine, we love seeing our members and families work together to give back to the community!

We’re proud to recognize our own Devin Krueger for being selected through Mutual Of Wausau Insurance Corporation’s grant program. Devin nominated the Norrie Lakers 4-H Club and was chosen as a winner, giving him the opportunity to present a grant check in support of the club’s continued focus on youth development, leadership, and agricultural education.

Congratulations to the Norrie Lakes 4-H Club, and thank you to Mutual of Wausau for investing in our communities.
