You can't keep a good non-profit film program down.

We're taking CARNIVAL OF SOULS to the big screen at Naro Cinema. For this exercise in mood and shadow, we’ve invited Norfolk electronic artist KARACELL = KARACELL = to perform before the film.

From the haunted heart of middle America comes CARNIVAL OF SOULS, a masterful work of atmospheric dread and a triumph of scrappy independent filmmaking.

The story of an uptight church organist who’s plagued by visions of a sinister specter after she miraculously survives a nasty car crash.

Produced and directed by Kansas-based industrial filmmaker Herk Harvey on a shoestring $33,000 budget, the film blends a stark European aesthetic with cheap drive-in movie scares.

What a treat, a Friday night in Norfolk. We thought we needed to break out of our tendency towards 70s movies, so we thought we would play a 90s movie about the 70s instead: BOOGIE NIGHTS is back on the big screen with a new 4K restoration and it's cu***ng to Naro Cinema on Sept 4, time TBD.

PTA's best, (the master tho...) BOOGIE NIGHTS chronicles the rise and fall and rise of Dirk Diggler, a long schlonged busboy turned p***o superstar. Stacked cast, great soundtrack, beautiful on the big screen.

NUTTYS! NUTTYS! The siren song of the nutcracker vendor who roam the beaches of New York City shilling boozy bootleg cocktails to thirsty beachgoers.

In this slice-of-life indie drama, writer/director Joel Alfonso Vargas invites us into the life of one such punch hustler, who's determined to build a beach beverage empire for his family and his (pregnant) (underage) girlfriend.
