Our mission is to break the chains of society’s stigma of what a model should look like by encouraging and inspiring women, men, and children of all ages that they can and should ‘Rip The Runway’ no matter their height or size. After all we are made in God’s image and the average female size is a 12. So, why do we only see a size 2 or 4 on the runway versus a young woman who is short and curvy? DT
BY is near and dear to the show producers, Erica Hall and Candace Credle, because they as well as millions of people in the world have been affected by cancer. The charity portion of the show and the selection of "Demand Cures Today Gateway for Cancer Research" became the honored charity for two years in a row because Candace's father George W. Chandler was patient at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philidelphia, PA. This event is in memory of Candace's, father George W. Chandler, Sr, who passed away November 6, 2013 to the complications of cancer at the age of 52. The Dare To Be You Charity Fashion Show is one resource that sows a seed into the research of cancer, so other families do not have to experience the loss and pain that Candace, Erica, and other families are/have currently experience. The Gateway for Cancer Research is a non-profit 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization that was established over 20 years ago and has funded over 103 clinical research trials. “The Gateway’s research mission is to support patient-centered research that improves cancer treatment outcomes and restores cancer patient’s quality of life.”
