The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #15 is proud to announce the new initiative to support those that support our officers with July now being proclaimed as Law enforcement child month. This symbolizes the strength, courage, sacrifice, and support for the children that have to live with there parent being a police officer and the sacrifice they make every day!!

Through out this month we will be sharing different post. Our local lodge will be hosting the families of our officers and recognizing the children of Officers later this month for everything they do and go through.

Behind every badge is a family making sacrifices that often go unseen. This Law Enforcement Child Month, we recognize the children who grow up supporting those who serve. Thank you for your resilience, strength, and understanding.

The National Fraternal Order of Police is proud to partner with Gratitude Initiative and fellow law enforcement organizations for the inaugural Law Enforcement Child Month, recognizing and honoring the children and families who serve alongside our nation's law enforcement officers every day.

Members of the FOP Lodge 15 and staff of NPD were busy this last weekend being part of our communities events! Day shift and other members volunteered to help with Bike Safety at the Landon Bos Bike Rodeo teaching children and parents the rules of the road while on a bicycle and making sure they have all the necessary equipment and their bicycles are working correctly!

We also had some of our members partake in the veterans su***de prevention Rick March where they walked from Hadar Fire Departmwnt to the VFW in Norfolk!

Thank you to those members that helped and participated and being a part of the community on and off duty!!!

Good morning to everyone that follows our page!! I hope you have had a wonderful memorial weekend! Today is the day to remember! Today we remember what we have because of those who have fought for it. I personally have been blessed to have so many of my family, friends, and coworkers serve in the various branches of military. This includes my father and my twin brother! I personally want to thank each and every one of you for your dedication, bravery, and courage to serve our country with pride and honor! I also think about those we have lost. I hope you take some time today to remember what today is about. Have a wonderful and safe holiday!

Congratulations to our members and officers and supervisors for being recognized by M.A.D.D in Lincoln recently. Your dedication to keeping our roads safe from impaired driving is making a difference and a stern reminder to those making that decision to not have a safe driver and “drive sober, or get pulled over!” Thank you for everything you do!

Congratulations to our Norfolk Police Division officers, our partners at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol Troop B, and the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department for being recognized today at the MADD Nebraska Awards Banquet in Lincoln.

Seven officers from the police division were honored for their work in DWI enforcement and Minor in Possession of Alcohol enforcement. These awards represent a lot of late nights, traffic stops, investigations, teamwork, and a shared commitment to keeping impaired drivers off the road and keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors.

We are proud of the work being done here in Norfolk and across Northeast Nebraska. DWI enforcement is not about numbers or trophies. It is about preventing crashes, saving lives, and helping make sure people get home safely.

That being said… they did bring home the hardware today, and we are proud of them for it.

Congratulations to everyone recognized, and thank you to MADD Nebraska for continuing to support law enforcement, victims, families, and safer communities across our state.

During National Police Week 2026, the Nebraska State Fraternal Order of Police asks everyone to honor and remember the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and our nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we reflect on the sacrifices made by these heroes, we also stand in support of the officers who continue to serve and protect each and every day.

Please join us in remembering the fallen and thanking those who wear the badge with honor.
