Hoah! God has blessed our officers and crew with success on our cruise across the Chesapeake Bay amongst the beautiful sands and pines of the Eastern Shore! We set up camp near the wharf on the grounds of a lovely plantation in Onancock town. Our hosts, the Ker family, treated us with hospitality and grace. We brought our entire crew from chickens to children! We even fired our cannon, 'Hog & Hominy' several times for drill! After a feast of barbecue, a toast of bourbon, and a speech from Patrick Henry, we were filled with vigor! Many visitors attended to us throughout the day and wished us well! May the Lord of hosts rain fire and brimstone on our enemy the British and continue to guide the brave men of the Virginia Navy with His mighty hand! Thank you to all who participated including Jason, Heather, Stirling, Georgiana, and Crawford! Plus, our pugnacious poultry: Lady Wartcroft, Ms. Jemmy, and Mrs. Tarbell! Godspeed! Huzza!
