A Heart for Healthy Habits! 🍎👟
Change can be daunting, but for Gill Elementary in Massachusetts, this year has been a spectacular run thanks to their new leader, Katelyn!
When the school’s longtime coach retired, Katelyn stepped up with incredible energy and enthusiasm. As the school nurse, she knows that wellness is about so much more than bandaging scraped knees—it’s about building a foundation for lifelong health and movement.
Through every mile, Katelyn has shown that being a coach is about connection, community, and heart. Here is what she had to say about her first year with 100 Mile Club:
"Being my first year in school nursing, I found the 100 Mile Club to be an awesome way to not only get the students and staff moving, but to establish relationships with everyone through the shared goal of success. The program is both fun and educational. It allows for participants to work hard to be better individually and as a team. I’m so lucky to have been able to be a part of the 100 Mile Club this year and I cannot wait for the fall to “hit the ground running” again!! 👟🏃🏼♀️”
Thank you, Katelyn, for your dedication to your students and for keeping the spirit of the 100 Mile Club alive and thriving in your community! We can’t wait to see you back on the track this fall.
