The President’s work is never done!

NHA President Bonnie Slager represented the Norco Horsemen’s Association at tonight’s City Council meeting, presenting NHA’s report identifying the ten most-needed trail improvements throughout the city.

Advocating for Norco’s equestrian community has been a core part of NHA’s mission since our founding. We remain actively engaged in civic affairs to help ensure that the needs of our horse community are heard and considered.

Thank you, Bonnie, for representing NHA and continuing to be a strong voice for Norco’s riders and trail users.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our trip to the Tehachapi Mountains yesterday to observe the Oak Creek Wild Horses.

These bands of wild horses have roamed the Tehachapi area for generations and are believed to be descendants of Morgan horses. Living freely in the Oak Creek Canyon area, they offer a rare glimpse into a piece of California’s equine heritage and are truly remarkable to observe in person.

We are grateful for the opportunity to experience these beautiful animals in their natural environment and to share the experience with fellow horse enthusiasts.

A special thank you to NHA members Darrell and Patricia Cravy for serving as our knowledgeable guides and to Diana Palmer for her warm hospitality. Their efforts helped make the day both enjoyable and memorable.

🇺🇸 Saddle up and help make Norco history this Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

The Norco Horsemen’s Association is proud to partner with Saddle Sore Riders, Inc for a special community ride celebrating America’s 250th birthday.

Our goal is simple: 250 horses riding together through the heart of Horsetown USA, one horse for every year of our nation’s history. Whether you ride regularly or only occasionally, we invite you to join us and be part of something truly memorable.

🐴 All horses and riders are welcome.

📍 Staging begins at 9:00 AM in the parking lot at the corner of Sixth Street and California Avenue (across from Saddle Sore).
🕙 The ride departs at 10:00 AM.

The route will be an easy ride along Sixth Street and back, making this a great opportunity for riders of all experience levels to participate.

Several local equestrian groups have already committed to joining the celebration, including the Norco The Norco Cowgirls, Norco Horseweek Rodeo Queens, and the Norco Mounted Posse, with additional groups expected to participate.

We also encourage riders to show their patriotic spirit by decorating themselves and their horses in red, white, and blue. Flags, ribbons, patriotic tack, and festive attire are all welcome. There will even be a contest recognizing some of the best patriotic-looking horses and riders.

This is more than just a trail ride. It’s a chance to celebrate our country, showcase Norco’s equestrian heritage, and create a moment that will be remembered for years to come.

Bring your horse, your patriotic spirit, and your friends. Let’s show Southern California why Norco is proudly known as Horsetown USA!

🇺🇸 We hope to see you there! 🇺🇸
