The Rock was a vision given to Sheila Martin when faced with the realities and struggles of the life controlling issues drug and alcoholism. Due to personal experiences with these life controlling issues they are able to offer a hands on approach to the men and their loved ones. They are able to stand before each resident and their families and show through their own lives that a better life is av

ailable after one has allowed drugs and alcohol to tear them apart. They are joined by others who have been faced with the same struggle of addiction for years. As a team they are committed and able to show others by their personal journeys of sobriety that they too with the help of Jesus Christ the Voice of Trust can overcome these life controlling issues that have mastered their lives.

**Nearly 80,000 (or about 76%) of the 105,007 drug overdose deaths in 2023 involved an opioid. CDC data show a potential bystander was present in nearly 43% of overdose deaths in 2023. With the right tools, bystanders can act to prevent overdose deaths. Anyone can carry naloxone, give it to someone experiencing an overdose, and potentially save a life.**

Naloxone reverses 93% of overdoses, but many recipients don't survive a year.

Naloxone is a medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose. It attaches to opioid receptors and reverses and blocks the effects of other opioids.

Naloxone is a safe medicine. It only reverses overdoses in people with opioids in their systems.

There are two FDA-approved formulations of naloxone: injectable and prepackaged nasal spray.

Naloxone only works in the body for 30 to 90 minutes. It is possible for a person to still experience the effects of an overdose after naloxone wears off or need multiple doses if a potent opioid is in a person’s system.

Drug overdoses have killed over 1.25 million people since 1999. 😢

Among youth and young adults aged 15 to 24 years old, the average annual OD death rate is 13.5 out of every 100,000.
