Abilities Unite is thrilled to collaborate with Santa and his North Pole council of Elves to extend a heartfelt invitation for you and your family to join us at Santa’s Hide-A-Way Hollow on Sunday, June 28th. The cost to attend is $10 per family and includes lunch.
Register by June 5th:

Bring your family to explore Santa’s village, where you can visit his delightful elves and various shops. You can also enjoy activities like fishing at Reindeer Lake or pampering yourself at Jovi’s Nail Salon. Don’t forget to stop by the Ice Cream Parlor and the Bakery, where delicious fresh chocolate chip cookies await, along with fun games to play.

Santa’s elves will prepare a delightful cookout lunch for you, followed by a festive Christmas show at Santa’s Jamboree, where you can sing along and join in the fun. They are excited to create unforgettable Christmas memories with you!

Join us for our next art enrichment class at the Jewish Community Center. Register by June 11th. Space is limited to 16 individuals per class.

Art enrichment classes are held each month at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown. We offer a variety of projects, including canvas painting, decoupage, jewelry making, floral crafts, and more. Classes are led by an art instructor and one assistant. They include specialized instruction, with step-by-step guides to provide a great experience for all ability levels. Projects are designed to provide individuals with disabilities the ability to create art with minimal assistance, encourage independence, and ensure creativity is their own. Adaptive art supplies are available to help everyone feel comfortable and confident to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

We ask that parents, caregivers, and/or direct support professionals stay during the art class to provide additional assistance as needed.

Get ready for Wrestling Under the Stars live at 717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood on Saturday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. Wrestling superstars at 717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood include the Hardy Boyz in action!! Plus: Mickie James, Matt Riddle, NEW Champion Matt Taven, WWE Hall of Famers JBL, Ron Simmons and Lex Luger, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and many more superstars to be announced.

Abilities Unite Foundation and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers joined together for an Egg-stra exciting Easter egg hunt earlier this month at the Eastwood Event Centre. Over 300 guests enjoyed an exclusive opportunity to search for thousands of eggs filled with treats in a special session that took place before their general admission began. This allowed our friends to take their time, pick the perfect eggs, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. They also took photos with the Easter Bunny and Scrappy, enjoyed face painting, and balloon art. Special thanks to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers for their continued commitment to bringing inclusive spaces to our area.

Register by May 8th for our next art class at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown.
Space is limited to 16 individuals per class.

We ask that all artists arrive on time for class. Our classes are carefully designed to support each artist and their unique abilities. Artists arriving 10 minutes or more past the start of the class time will not be able to join the class.

The All Abilities Sports Clinics aim to provide children with disabilities, ages 4 to 17, the chance to explore various sports in a nurturing environment. Each clinic runs for 3 to 4 weeks. All skill levels are encouraged to participate—no prior experience is necessary.

All Abilities Soccer Clinic begins in June and includes:

- Fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting
- Development of motor skills and coordination
- Opportunities for social interaction and teamwork
- Confidence-building activities through play
- Enjoyable games tailored to each child's abilities
- A focus on encouragement, patience, and FUN!

Soccer clinic dates: June 2nd, June 9th, June 16th
Ages 4 - 10: 5:00 - 5:45 pm
Ages 11 - 17: 5:45 - 6:30 pm

Parents & Caregivers are welcome to stay, observe, or assist as needed. For more information about the program and/or to register contact Megan Tice at the Salem Community Center: 330-332-5885. Cost to participate is $5.
