716 PAWS Saving lives, one bark at a time. Rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for dogs. We help both local and out of state animals find homes.

716 Paws is a group of avid animal advocates who knows its our responsibility and passion to help both families and animals find their perfect match. We are a volunteer-based animal rescue group founded to facilitate the placement of animals into their best-matched forever home. Our goal is to reduce the overall euthanasia rate amongst canines and to give both dog and human alike a forever companion. Transitioning to life with a new dog can be challenging for an owner, and in the same respect, transitioning to a new home can be challenging for an animal. This is why 716 Paws offers programs for adoption-adaptation. We work tirelessly to make sure that each dog’s new home is their forever home.

🐾 Meet Jesse James—wanted for stealing hearts! ❤️

Don’t let his name fool you, the only things this little outlaw wants to steal are your heart and a spot on your lap! 🥰

Jesse is the fuzziest of his siblings, with a sweet personality and plenty of puppy love to share. His foster family describes him as a well-behaved boy who listens and is already learning his manners and potty training.

He’s currently sharing his foster home with his two puppy siblings, two children, and a resident husky who supervises the crew. Jesse gets along well with everyone and could enjoy life as an only dog or with canine companions.

His ideal family will make room for playtime, little adventures, cozy cuddles, and the patience and guidance every growing puppy needs.

Ready to welcome this fuzzy little sidekick into your family? 🐶

If you are interested in adopting Jesse James, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the page if already pre-approved!

Meet Grizzly! 🐻🐾 This adorable little guy is quite the character! He’s full of energy, curious about everything, and has absolutely no concept of personal space.

Grizzly loves to explore and is always onto the next thing. But just as quickly as he’s off on his next adventure, he’s back in your face giving kisses and looking for some attention. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves being around people!

He’s also proving to be a smart puppy! Grizzly has been doing surprisingly well with potty training and has slept through the night in his crate since his very first night. He might fuss a bit when you leave, but he settles down and couldn’t be more excited when you return.

Grizzly gets along well with his two foster sisters and loves having other dogs to play with. He can be a little bossy, but he’s still learning his puppy manners. He’s generally excited to meet new people and try new things.

We believe Grizzly would really enjoy a home with another playful dog and a family willing to keep up with his energy and curiosity. He’s still a young puppy with plenty to learn, but already showing what a fun, loving companion he’ll be. He seems to be fine with cats and children are unknown.

If you are interested in adopting Grizzly, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the page if you are already approved.

📦 Shredding Fundraiser at Sweet Jenny’s🍦

Our shredding fundraiser was a success, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our community!

A huge thank you to Sweet Jenny's - Buffalo - NY for hosting this event and providing pup cups for our four-legged helpers! We’re also incredibly grateful to the local organization that generously donated boxes and bags to help make this fundraiser possible.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored a box and/or bag, and to our amazing volunteers and community members who came out to support the cause.

We also want to give a special shout-out to students Joe Burns, Carson Plath, and Donnie Bensman for putting their muscles to work! 💪 They helped carry hundreds of boxes and then worked hard breaking them down afterward. These guys were absolute rock stars! Joe’s dad, Jonathan, also jumped in to lend a hand, and we appreciate his help just as much.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping us turn unwanted paper into second chances for rescue dogs! 🐶❤️

Adoption Event at Valu 🐾

While some of our pups were at Sweet Jenny’s enjoying their treats, others were hanging out at Valu Home Centers, where we teamed up with WNY Food 4 Paws for an adoption event!

Thank you to Valu for welcoming us, to everyone who stopped by to say hello and visit with the pups, and to everyone who generously donated food to help animals in need. Your support means so much!

We truly couldn’t do what we do without our amazing community and dedicated volunteers. Whether you sponsored a box, made a donation, lent a helping hand, or simply stopped by to show the pups some love, you’re making a difference.

From all of us at 716 PAWS, THANK YOU for being part of our village and helping us give these deserving dogs the second chances they deserve! 🐾❤️

Meet Rocket! 🚀 — A Whole Lot of Love in a 45-Pound Package! ❤️
Rocket is a little over 2 years old, weighs about 45 pounds, and is ready to find the loving forever home he deserves! This handsome boy is a little ham with a big heart who absolutely loves to cuddle. 🥰

🏡 The good stuff about Rocket:
✅ Crate trained
✅ Potty trained
✅ Does well on a leash
✅ Food motivated (treats are definitely the way to his heart! 😉)
✅ Professional couch lounger and bone chewer
❤️ Certified cuddle bug!

Rocket would do best as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. He has not yet been tested with cats, so we don't know how he would do with feline friends.
You may notice that Rocket is looking a little too skinny right now. ❤️‍🩹 He's been under stress in a boarding facility, but since coming into a home environment, he's acclimating well and beginning to settle in. He's showing us that what he really wants is a comfortable couch, his favorite bones, a safe place to relax, and someone who will love him unconditionally.

Rocket doesn't need a fancy life. He just wants to be somebody's boy. He wants to feel safe, be spoiled, snuggle up on the couch, and finally know what it means to be home. 🏡💕

Could you be the one Rocket has been waiting for? He has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give him a chance. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. He deserves his happily ever after! 🐶❤️

If you are interested in adopting Rocket, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the page if already approved!
