Have you ever thought about running for public office? We are still accepting applications for our second annual class!

Classes will kick off in mid-January with eight half-day sessions on leadership, conflict resolution, and how local governments work. There will be two sessions on City government, two on County government, and two on school districts.

Applications are open to any Harvey County citizen, and there is no requirement to run for an elected position. The fee to cover program costs is $100 per participant.

The application form is available online: bit.ly/ReadyToRunApp, or at the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce office, 500 N. Main. The application deadline is Dec. 15.
