🏀 Special Guest Coach Spotlight: Courtney Joens 🏀

We’re excited to welcome Courtney Joens as a guest coach at our upcoming camp on July 6th & 7th!

Courtney is an Iowa native who went on to play Division I basketball at the University of Illinois, competing in the Big Ten Conference for four seasons.

Before college, Courtney was a standout high school player in Iowa, scoring over 1,000 career points and helping lead her team to multiple conference titles. She has since continued her impact on the game as a coach and trainer, working with youth athletes and leading high school programs right here in Iowa. Campers will get hands-on instruction, encouragement, and insight from someone who has competed at the highest levels and is dedicated to growing the game.

We’re excited to welcome Connor Gholson, a Newton native and former Drake University basketball player, as a guest coach at our upcoming camp on July 7th & 8th!

Connor brings high-level playing experience, a passion for the game, and a strong connection to the Newton community. As a former Division I athlete, he understands what it takes to compete, improve, and lead—and he’s committed to helping the next generation of players grow their skills and confidence on the court.
Campers will have the chance to learn directly from Connor through skill development, drills, and mentorship that will challenge and inspire them.

July 6th & 7th is our annual Ladybirds Basketball Camp organized by the high school program!

🏀6th - 8th Graders 🏀
This year we are partnering with the high school volleyball program to make it easier for our athletes to participate in both camps. Volleyball will be in the morning with basketball to follow.
