On behalf of the Town Of Newton, the Town Manager and the Town Council, we would like to thank everyone who spent their evening with us at the fifth annual National Night Out.

Newton Volunteer Fire Department served 500 hotdogs 🌭 supplied by Hayek's Market Inc..

Newton Volunteer First Aid & Rescue Squad hand scooped 45 gallons of Ice Cream 🍨.

Municipal staff served countless bags of fresh popped popcorn 🍿.

Panera Bread served 400 fresh baked chocolate chip cookies 🍪.

Newton Police (NJ) handed out 500 bottles of water. 💦

Applebee's Grill + Bar served crispy chicken fingers with macaroni and cheese . 🐓

There was a K -9 lecture by the Sheriff’s Department. Drone demo by the Newton Police, Jaws of Life demo by Newton Fire, NFAS showed the proper CPR techniques, New Jersey Fish & Wildlife educated the kiddos with pelts from native animals, and many other businesses and agencies!!!!

Oh! Did I mention the helicopters?? The THREE helicopters!!!! 🚁 New Jersey State Police did a fly over at the beginning of the event and Atlantic Air Ambulance landed their flying ED for spectators to tour….. and New Jersey Forest Fire Service landed their massive helicopter as well. You could hear it coming from miles away!!! 😳

We are so grateful that these businesses, organizations, departments and public figures were able to gather together under a beautiful August sky. This was truly a special event for our community!

Thank you to Newton Volunteer Fire Department for the fun, and informative, Vehicle Extrication Demonstration! (also know as the Jaws of Life)

This Nissan Pathfinder, generously donated by George's Salvage Co. Inc., was opened like a can opener. Expert training like this, is how lives are saved!
*
This demonstration will be added to the itinerary EVERY National Night Out . So, if you missed this demo - mark your calendar for August 3rd, 2027.

Not only did they land their massive helicopter on the field, but they brought a brush truck and had a cool table of giveaways!
