๐How long have you been at EmberHope and/or working in child and family well-being?
I have been with Ember Hope for 2ยฝ years and have worked in child and family well-being for 18ยฝ years.
๐What do you love most about your job and the work that you do at our organization?
I love interacting with our youth. We see our youth during their good, bad, and sometimes difficult moments. I enjoy being able to support them, listen to them, and help them work through whatever challenges they may be facing. Itโs rewarding to know that we can make a positive difference in their lives.
๐If someone were considering joining our team, what advice would you give them?
This is a challenging yet rewarding job. You will never have the same day twice, and each day brings new experiences, opportunities to learn, and ways to make a difference.
๐Over your tenure at EmberHope, what is one of your favorite memories or achievements?
The On-Call and Transportation Departmentsโ Christmas party last year was truly a time to remember. These teams work after hours and overnight, which means they often miss out on events because of their schedules. This party gave everyone the opportunity to come together, relax, and enjoy some much-needed time with one another. It was a great reminder of the importance of teamwork, connection, and celebrating the people who work hard behind the scenes to support our youth.
๐What makes EmberHope a great place to work?
Our after-hours teams work closely together to ensure we meet the needs of all our youth. We communicate, support one another, and work as a team to provide the best possible experience and support for each youth.
๐Feel free to share a fun fact about yourself or something someone might not know about you!
I used to sing competitively, and one of my most memorable experiences was having the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Dodge City Days Rodeo. It was an exciting and meaningful experience that Iโll always remember.
