Bowlful of Blues 2013 marks the 21st year of the Bowlful of Blues! Yes, we are FINALLY LEGAL! What a treat! There are always food vendors however. Bring lawn chairs, blankets.

The annual Bowlful of Blues is held in the beautiful Maytag Park in the heart of Newton, Iowa. Performers and attendees are treated to the many moods of blues music that project from the Hollywood-style bowl-shaped stage. The Bowlful of Blues is one of very few festivals that allows outside food and beverages (plastic containers only) brought in. Online ticket sales are available as well as in-per

son sales at several ticket outlets (see www.southskunkblues.org). Annual event T-shirts, raffles and other diversions available. Your event wristband gets you into the after-fest at no charge. Festival runs approximately Noon-10 p.m., with the After Party held this year at the Newton VFW, on First Avenue Newton, just off the downtown square. Advance tickets are $15, $20 day of event.
