From cancer survivor to wrestler. From fighter to difference-maker. 💛🤼

At just four months old, Phillip Ujeski was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare childhood eye cancer. Thanks to the incredible care he received at Roswell Park, Phillip is now cancer-free and thriving in the sport he loves — wrestling.

Today, Phillip and his parents, Astrid and Michael, are helping give that same hope to other families.

Through the power of the wrestling community and the Pin Cancer Nationals, funds were raised to support three incredible beneficiaries, including $25,000 donated to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center to advance cancer research, treatment, and support for families facing cancer.

For Phillip, this moment is more than presenting a check. It’s a full-circle moment — giving back to the very place that helped save his life.

This is what Pin Cancer is all about. Turning a passion for wrestling into a purpose bigger than the sport. 💪🎗️

Last weekend the Pin Cancer Nationals raised $100,000 for leading pediatric cancer organizations, local hospitals, and wrestling families directly impacted.

From the core 4 behind our organization, we’d like to say thank you to every wrestler, parent, coach, donor, and volunteer who helped pull off this amazing event.

Together, we can do great things.

Fear not. We have wrestlers like Jasper who showed up, raised donations for those in need, and competed for a bigger purpose this past weekend at the Pin Cancer Nationals. A tournament that unites the wrestling community in the fight against cancer. A tournament like no other. Jasper got to meet and train with Troy Spratley for raising over $1,000 prior to the tournament.

I don’t even know how to put this kind of generosity into words. 😭🧡

Odin went into Pin Cancer Nationals with one goal: to wrestle his heart out and raise money to help families impacted by cancer.

He wrestled in honor of my dad Thomas J Condon Jr who passed from Leukemia, his grandpa (Pepa) Tom who just won his fight against Esophageal Cancer and, most especially, for his little sister Nellie as she continues her fight with Neuroblastoma. 🧡

He raised an incredible amount of money, and we were so proud of him—not just for what he did on the mat, but for the heart he showed throughout this entire experience.

And then we received news that completely floored us and brought us all to tears.

The tournament director donated the ENTIRE amount Odin raised back to our family to help support us through Nellie’s cancer journey. 😭

Odin set out to help families like ours, never expecting that the kindness he was putting into the world would come right back to his own family.

With trips to Boston ahead of us, surgery on the horizon, missed work for Dillon, and so many unknowns still in front of us, this gift means more than I could ever explain. It isn’t just financial support—it’s one more reminder that we are surrounded by an absolutely incredible village.

To the Pin Cancer family and the tournament director: thank you. Thank you for seeing Odin’s heart. Thank you for seeing our family. And thank you for standing beside Nellie in this fight.

We will never, ever forget this. 🧡
