The public is invited as the Newton Amateur Radio Club will be holding it's annual Field Day event June 24th and 25th at the Community building at Harvey County West Park. From US50 go north 3 miles on N Halstead Road to NW 24th street, then 3 miles west to he park. The event is to demonstrate Amateur Radio's ability to communicate with other stations from a remote location using emergency power and temporary antennas. There will be several stations in operation and one for anyone to talk on the radio if they want. There will be refreshments at about 6pm on Saturday.
