Today our speaker was Mrs. Iris Clark!! She spoke about the mentor program that she is involved with for the Joe and Helen Harris Foundation called SPOT.

SPOT, or Students Preparing for Opportunities Tomorrow, is a youth mentoring program that students grades 3-6 can go a few times a month. Students receive help with academics and also important social skills.

If you would like to volunteer your time, please contact Mrs. Clark or someone from the Joe and Helen Harris Foundation!

Today our special guests were from our Newport OM team!

The reigning state champs spoke about what OM is and the process it takes to advance to each level. Our Newport OM will be competing in May in Iowa at WORLD!

Through generosity from the community, they are able to raise funds needed to compete. Good luck to them and we hope to see them continue their success!!

Our former Lions Club and Kiwanis Club have joined forces here in Jackson County to create something brand new in hopes of serving more of our community!
