Two exciting updates from NeuroVoices Network!

Last week, we shared that we planned to launch a new initiative called Tactile Newnan at Community Wellness Day. Our goal was to introduce it in person, but sometimes plans change! We’re excited to officially launch Tactile Newnan online and will continue sharing information about this initiative through future posts and community resource events.

What is Tactile Newnan?

Tactile Newnan is an initiative focused on providing discreet sensory tools and raising awareness of the neurodiverse community in Newnan. Our goal is to make sensory tools more accessible while helping create a more understanding and inclusive community.

Each bag includes:

A fidget pen with a sensory fidget on the end

A tactile sticker featuring the Tactile Newnan logo

A Neurodiverse Awareness Card created in collaboration between Pathways Center Mental Health and NeuroVoices Network

How much do the bags cost, and where does the money go?

Each Tactile Newnan bag costs $5. Every purchase helps support both the continuation of this initiative and the creation of sensory-friendly spaces in our community.

$3.50 per bag goes toward producing future Tactile Newnan bags.

$1.50 per bag goes back into the community to help create sensory rooms.

Our first planned recipient of sensory room funding is Childrens Connect Museum in downtown Newnan! We’re excited to see how this initiative can help make our community more welcoming and accessible for everyone.

We have included the qr code to buy bags. There are two options to buy: have it shipped or just buy the bag. If you would like to buy the bag and live nearby, we can deliver or meet-up somewhere.

A New Fifth-Saturday Adventure!

We’re also excited to announce that our next fifth-Saturday outing will be something completely new: sensory-friendly trick-or-treating in downtown Newnan!

We are working on establishing a designated area where children and adults can enjoy a more sensory-friendly trick-or-treating experience. We’re still finalizing the details, so be sure to follow NeuroVoices Network for updates as we get closer to the event!

Community Wellness Day Update

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help us this Saturday! We truly appreciate your willingness to support NeuroVoices Network.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, Community Wellness Day has been postponed. We will make sure to let everyone know about future volunteer opportunities as they become available.

In the meantime, we would still love to see you at our weekly meeting on Saturdays from 3–4 PM, hosted at Coweta FORCE / Friends of Recovery Troup.

We also mentioned that we would be releasing a new initiative at Community Wellness Day. Since the event has been postponed, we are currently exploring the best way to launch this initiative effectively.
