Coweta County Government Commissioners tried to silence the citizen's voices during last night's MASSIVE TAX INCREASE meeting. Threatening numerous times to 'clear the room' in an illegal move that is against the Open Meetings Act in Georgia. After Mr. Reindelbach made the statement that he would clear the room, the room shot back in anguish. Commissioner Blackburn told Reindelbach - 'Clear the room'.

Why do they want to silence our voices? Why do the Commissioners feel they are better than the citizens? Why can't they live within their means like the rest of us do.

Property taxes are massively increasing in some areas due to over the top valuations. Coweta citizen's can't afford to pay more taxes.

Stop the 28% Property Tax Hike!

As we continue to grow and thrive as a community, it's essential that our Commissioners prioritize responsible and sustainable growth. That's why we oppose the proposed 28% property tax increase.

This massive hike will not only devastate homeowners on fixed incomes, but also small business owners who are already struggling to make ends meet. It's a recipe for financial disaster, especially during uncertain economic times.

As a constituent, I urge our county Commissioners to reconsider this drastic measure and explore more feasible solutions that won't break the bank or burden our community with unnecessary spending.

Many of us have already seen our tax bills rise over the past few years. A 28% increase is unsustainable and will force us to choose between items we need to get by on a day-to-day basis and having our homes taken from us because we can't afford the property taxes on them.

Our community deserves better. Why do we need 60 more county employees? Why are we growing government?
