There is a lot going on right now and I will not be trapping for a while! Unfortunately I will not make it through to September like I had hoped. Two boys going into school in opposite areas while finishing up summer projects is a lot for one person! All while working 2 jobs.
The program will continue... I personally just will not be trapping and transporting for a while!

Since February we have TNR'D a total of 80 cats here in town! Thank you to everyone for the donations and for the help! The people who have trapped for me, even reluctantly lol, the donations for fuel ($5.13 for diesel is insane!), the donations for vet care, and the donations for the "healing center" aka... my garage...which isn't much of a garage anymore but hey, you'll have that on these big jobs 🤷

ANYONE, I mean AANNYYOONNEE, is capable of trapping! If you are afriad but wanting to learn, I will make time to teach you❤️ if anyone would want to take over the reigns please reach out to the admin building, we have working traps stored in my garage, same with dog crates and some supplies.

I AM NOT DONE... TNR is a bit of a passion of mine. I have been doing it on my own since my early 20s. Around fall of 2025 I reached out to the mayor just to see what all I needed to do to start in town... He took it to a whole different level, helped organize, and scheduled meetings! Thankfully Lisa at the admin building took it under her wing to manage finances!

My phone is always on for question! Text and email is always your best route of reaching me!

You might not always find me in a crowd of people, but you will always find me with my animals and my boys❤️ even the annoying, German speaking doberman.

This is why we do what we do. TNR is not a rescue, but by TNR-ing we can help reduce the community cat population over time. Never too late to start.

After this group of 5 we took up this last past week we have TNR'd 73 community cats in total since February. Thank you Newcomerstown for the donations ❤️. We would love to hit 100 by fall.
A huge thank you goes to Rhonda Shaffer, she always makes time to pick them up on Fridays. Without her, transportation wouldn't be completed! Her main trapping focus is her 31 colony and she never complains! You're the real MVP Rhonda we love you!

Please note that TNR WILL BE CLOSED and we will not be accepting any TNR cats on Monday, July 20.

TNR intake will resume:
🐱 Tuesday & Wednesday (July 21–22): 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
🐱 Thursday (July 23): 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Mornings never go the way they are planned when you have young kids and it's hot out... BUT... 5 more made it up to alter clinic this morning! Thank you Newcomerstown!

Aug 15th- noon-5pm come out and meet our local first responders!
TNR needs these men and women! Why you might ask?
Cops- to learn about local trapping laws!
Paramedics- who else is going to bandage us up when we get beat up by a community cat!
Firefighters - 🤣🤣🤣Lord knows IM not climbing heights to catch a kitten... A bit of a scaredy cat myself!
Mark your calendars, this is going to be a fun family event and if first responders hit your heart deep like they do for TNR and you would like to donate funds to help, I'm sure our administration building can put you in the right direction! If not them, chief Kennedy himself could, he did for us!

We've had a few people reach out and we wish we could help every single one of you but at this time, our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program is limited to community cats within the Newcomerstown village limits. We are currently focused on addressing the significant number of community cats in our area and are committed to reducing the local population through TNR efforts. There are low cost spay/neuter services linked to our page.
Should our service area expand in the future, we would be happy to reach out and let you know. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and your concern for community cats.

We currently are focusing on the Main street/college area and finishing up what we can of our 31 colony.
After that, we will keep you updated on our next area.

As a reminder, we ARE not a rescue, and we DO NOT relocate unless absolutely necessary. If you live in village limits we will do what we can to help the colony around you.

Since we are donation based, we can only keep this program going as long as the funds are there. If you would like to donate you can find a link on our page through the newcomerstownNow website. There is an Amazon wishlist pinned to our page as well.
