Meet TREO's Newest Board Members

🔹 Colleen Kennedy, MD, MBA, FASMBS, DABS-MBS

Dr. Kennedy is a distinguished bariatric surgeon serving as the Surgical Director at the Weight Management Institute (THR Rockwall) and Medical Director of Bariatrics at Baylor Regional Medical Center Plano. With extensive national leadership experience, including serving on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Executive Committee of the Texas Association of Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Kennedy brings invaluable clinical insight, strategic leadership, and a deep dedication to advancing patient outcomes in metabolic and bariatric care.

🔹 Mary Gray Hixson, MPH, RD, LDN, CSOWM, FAND, FASMBS-IH

Mary Gray is a leading Registered Dietitian and Bariatric Nutrition Manager at UNC Rex Medical Group with more than 15 years of experience in metabolic surgery nutrition, clinical program development, and interdisciplinary healthcare leadership. Currently serving as Chair of the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) and recognized as the 2026 TREO Foundation Excellence in Nutrition Award recipient, her expertise in micronutrient management and clinical education will be a tremendous asset to our organization.

TREO Foundation is proud to announce its 2026-2028 Executive Leadership Team.
