🐾 Pet of the Week 🐾

If you’ve followed us for a while now you may recognize miss Mercedes! This sweet girl had previously been adopted but was unfortunately returned to us after she did not mesh well in the home. Mercedes has since happily adjusted back to being in our cat room while she waits for her forever home! 🩷
Mercedes is a gorgeous tabby cat full of lots of heart and sass! She is always one of the first cats to greet you in our cat room, always happy to accept the love. This spunky girl can often be independent but you will still frequently find her at your feet, asking for love (and treats 😉).
We believe that Mercedes would do well in a home where she is either solo or with one other cat. She has previously shown signs of being overwhelmed if there is too much day to day chaos.

✨Her adoption fee is $200 which includes:
-Spay
-Microchip
-Parasite/Deworming Treatments/Preventatives
-Flea Treatment
-Up to date fvrcp vaccines

🐈Happy Tails Tuesday 🐈

Meet Savanna! This gorgeous girl was adopted in November of 2024! She has been greatly enjoying her life in her amazing forever home! ☺️🩷✨

“She is the prettiest, most confident cat you’ll ever meet! You can find her on the top of her cat tower, the top of the garage shelves, or the top of the couch. When she’s not surveying her kingdom, she’s lying on one of her parents, fitting into a box, or trying to play with her cat sister, Dolly.
She has the best little personality, and we couldn’t be more in love with her.

🦮Happy Tails Tuesday 🦮

Meet Keva! This sweet girl was adopted a few years back! It seems like now she is living up her best life with her older sister!

“We adopted Keva (formally pika) from your organization in spring 2023 after her litter had been rescued from Texas. She has been such a joy in our lives. She’s extremely quirky, cuddly and loves her older sister Chloe. She loves tennis balls, anything that squeaks, stalking bunnies and squirrels and curling up on our fresh clean laundry. Thank you for giving us this amazing girl!”

🐈Happy Tails Tuesday 🐈

Meet Mandy! This sweet gal was adopted at the end of last year and now has her perfect forever home! We are so ecstatic to see that she is doing so well! ☺️🩷✨
Right before her adoption Mandy had unfortunately been transferred to another trusted rescue due to short staffing and little adoption interest for her and many other longer residents at our rescue, the transfer allowing the kitties to have a better chance at finding their forever homes faster! However, despite her move, Mandy’s new family who had been a familiar face to our staff, traveled to her new location and adopted Mandy! Despite the fact that she technically was not adopted from us, hearing this update for the kitty we had the pleasure to take care of for nearly a year is so meaningful and heartwarming to us 🩷

From the family:
“I met Mandy at Ark Pet Rescue, but had to adopt her elsewhere as she and a few other kitties (who’d been at the rescue for a long time with no adoption interest) had been moved to another location for a better chance. Ironically it happened just before I went in to adopt a kitty, otherwise I would’ve gotten a cat directly from ARK.
Mandy has adjusted very well, and is spoiled with lick treats nearly every night. When I met her at Ark she was almost always napping on the cat tower, but now she much prefers her window seats, and the back of the couch! Loud noises (such as paper bags or the vacuum) do scare her a bit, but she remains brave enough to fight the plastic.
She’s such a wonderful gift, and absolutely full of personality. Mandy loves cuddles and playing with her fish toy as well as my shoes. She’ll also meow (and at times throw mini cat tantrums) to let me know what she wants. She’s become very social as well and loves getting pets and snuggles from visitors.
Overall, I’m really glad the stars aligned the way they did. Coming home to her after work every day has been such a blessing.”

Each week we plan to feature some of our adoptable pets! This week we have Jessie and Angora!

Pictured first is miss affectionate Jessie, all of her siblings have found their forever homes, but she is still waiting! Being a Husky/Sheppard mix she is a very smart girl. She always soaks up all of the attention and will never turn down good belly rubs. Miss Jessie is ready to live an active lifestyle with her people! Wanting ample space to run but also sticking near you! One of her cutest little personality quirks is the “crying” noise she makes when happy. Jessie is also good with other dogs and respecting learned boundaries!

Next is Angora, affectionately nicknamed Angie! Much like her foster sister Jessie, she loves her affection and belly rubs, but she tends to have some more timid moments as she is learning the world. However, once she warms up, be prepared for never ending kisses! Miss Angie plays well with other dogs and is good at respecting boundaries!
