We check on our friends regularly, but Wednesdays are especially meaningful. During these visits, we share conversations, provide resources, and most importantly, offer hope and encouragement.
Today we added a little extra soul to the menu with fried chicken and a few additional sides. We wanted to do something special to remind our friends how much they mean to us.
Founder Ms. Scott continues to elevate the Helping Handz vision week by week through her creativity, compassion, and dedication to serving our neighbors. Her leadership inspires the entire team to keep showing up.
Kudos to the Helping Handz team for standing united in support and protection of Ms. Scott as the vision continues to grow and impact lives in our community.

Sandwich and Soup Wednesday is something we truly look forward to each week. It’s incredible to see our local friends now looking for us, it reminds us that what we’re doing matters. That connection empowers us to keep going and to do even more. If nothing else, we know we’ve filled their bellies and shown up with consistency, care, and compassion.

The sandwiches and soup we provide are more than nourishment, they are prepared and shared with genuine love, dignity, and compassion. Every act of giving matters. Due to the incredible success of our outreach and the growing needs in our community, we are expanding the Soup and Sandwich Movement! 🥣🥪
We’re calling on friends, families, and supporters to help us continue providing warm comfort foods and words of encouragement to those in need.
Donations needed: canned soups, loaves of bread, and individually wrapped snacks. All donations are tax-deductible.

It is an honor to collaborate with so many dedicated partners across Newark as we support our community. After a beautiful Thanksgiving celebration, we are preparing for our next holiday initiative and look forward to continuing to share love, joy, and meaningful service.
