Hey STEAMERS! SPREAD THE WORD!

SUNDAYS look a-little something like this! Yes we do markets and have our harvest and take options during the week, and we also feel it’s really important to have a community centered model of sharing so folks can join us at the farm Sundays and get free food that is rescued and harvested right from the farm, clothing, menstrual products, etc.

We are always accepting donations, looking for volunteers, and welcome anyone who wants to share in the resources!

And you may just meet our chickens who we have identified as 4 Hens! So we will have eggs soon also!

Hey STEAMERS!!!

The Artisan Farmers Market will be closed August 24–31 as our team takes time to prepare the farm and market for the fall season. 🍂🌻

We’ll be back Tuesday, September 1 with fresh produce, local goods, community, and more of what makes our market special. 💚

Thank you to everyone who has shopped with us, supported our farmers and artisans, and helped us continue building a community-centered local food system.

Hey STEAMERS!!

We have been having so much fun this summer! This particular day towards the end of July was the last day of Middle Summer Camp for the MAP Program at University Middle in Irvington.

We ran a healing arts camp which also included a couple field-trips to the farm. They got to learn about Urban Farms, how to grow your own food, how to take care a farm space, how to check for and help with pests on the plants, and how to see the farm as a fun place to heal, learn, and grown with community!

We are always thankful for the folks who continue to come back to the land especially our young folks, and the folks who see the beauty and value in our space !

Hey STEAMERS!!!

SPREAD THE WORD!!! The STEAM URBAN Artisan Farmers market is running through November 20th! We have something for everyone!

Tuesdays 10-2 (Newark WIC office)
Wednesdays 11-3 (East Orange WIC office)
Thursdays 12-5 (Newark WIC office)
Fridays 11-2 (A Healing Sanctuary Farm)

We accept SNAP (double your bucks so half off), WIC FMNP, SENIOR FMNP, CASH, And all other payment forms!

Our produce is local, fresh, in-season and we have artisan goods like honey, yogurt, soaps, cold press teas, sour dough bread, and more!

Also is prime harvesting season on the farm so we are getting some great Kale, Collards, Peppers, Okra, and more!

🌿 Community Care Means Knowing When to Rest.

Due to unhealthy air quality conditions, A Healing Sanctuary Farm + Artisan Farmers Market will be CLOSED today, August 7th.

Our farm is a place for healing, learning, growing, and gathering and protecting the health of our team, vendors, volunteers, and community is part of that work.

🌱 The land will be here.
💚 The market will return.
🫶🏾 Today, we choose care.

Please limit prolonged outdoor activity when possible and stay connected to local air-quality updates.

Wow can you believe it’s August?? Such a great time into the farm season as we are seeing lots of lush green , beautiful flowers, and soo much growth!

🍓Open Stewardship hours on the land , everyday except Thursdays 9am-1pm! At A Healing Sanctuary Farm!

🥬Join us for any of our Artisan Farmers Markets , local produce, artisan goods, and the best prices compared to any grocery / convenience store!

🌈We are always accepting donations for our food share on Sundays to support families and community members (high quality shelf stables , menstrual products, diapers / depends, masks, hand sanitizer, toiletries, socks, etc)!

Hey STEAMERS!

Exciting things are happening at A Healing Sanctuary Farm , chickens have landed! We are unsure of who they are yet, we are learning them and they are learning us.

Next project, operation Chicken Coop or for now the second bin of the compost system! Yesterday we sheltered them from the rain in the greenhouse and they all but our baby Peep was jumping out of our makeshift bedding for them!
