The POP a Trunk and Grab and Go vegetable distribution will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2020 between 12:00pm - 2:00pm (for 150 registered households.) inside Weequahic Park at the Elizabeth Ave Little League Baseball Field parking lot.

There is no need to come hours in advanced and waiting in a car line, we do encourage you to use the park to exercise and enjoy the outside surroundings.
Please,do not idle your cars in the park.

Directions: enter Weequahic Park from Chancellor Ave, make a left and drive straight to the distribution area

To complete your reservation, please visit the program/activity area of your ECPL account and add a selection to your cart to check out. Without this step, your newly created account will not be visible on our vegetable distribution list .

* Important * If you are picking up the vegetables by drive-thru, please show your invoice number in the window and wear a mask. [For Drive-thru service, be prepared to open your trunk for vegetable placement.]

The Covid 19 pandemic has been a traumatic and life changing experience for everyone .
The SWECDC is a neighborhood helping neighbors program and 501c3 organization created to add comfort and support as secondary relief. .
Donations to our organization are applied as relief efforts for families and individuals through volunteering , food relief and other essential resources needed....

We are supported by various local residents and encourage people to help by pitching in our donating towards our efforts.

The South Newark Group and Super Laundromat have joined together to offer laundry assistance cards and fresh vegetables located at 531 Springfield Avenue, Newark NJ for 30 families.
ONE PER HOUSEHOLD/FAMILY
LAUNDRY MUST NOT EXCEED 100LBS

*Limited Appointments (30 qty)
Must be Pre-registered (BLEACH NOT PROVIDED)

Unsuccessful appointment attendance will result in forfeit of the donation. (other restrictions, rules, and regulations may be applicable.

We will make two attempts to contact you through either text, phone call, and/or email. Please check your contact information for accuracy. In the event we were unable to reach you, please call (862) 367-6464 or email [email protected] for follow-up. Assistance cards will not be held and may be reissued to another family in need.
Important Details:
- Must be ready to wash laundry on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 12PM .
- Laundry must not exceed 100lbs/total
- Participants MUST load and leave out of the facility during wash and dry cycles due to the Covid-19 state/city mandated business restrictions
- Individuals are responsible for bleach.

Update: The Newark Community Repast and uplifting celebration will be one June 19th .. The event details will be coming soon ..
We are in the planning stages of this event as it will be a social distancing and mobile parade style event ..

A community acknowledgement of your loved one who are no longer here will be announced in a special way as we travel through-out the city ..
