New York Shamanic Circle - NYSC

Since 1997, NY Shamanic Circle is the premier Shamanic Healing and Soul empowerment org in NYC. We honor all indigenous traditions. All welcome.

Join conscious raising workshops and monthly circles (Women's & General). No previous experience is needed. The NYSC core group was formed in 1997. Collectively and individually the group has worked with shamans from around the world. Committed to supporting an active shamanic community in New York City, we endorse honoring one’s own direct connection to Spirit. We honor the earth and living in ways that support indigenous wisdom, fostering environmental and social balance. You are welcome to bring business cards or flyers of your healing workshops or other events to share with our community.

Pachakuti: The Great Turning 🌎🔥🌱

This month, we gather in the spirit of Pachakuti, a Quechua word often understood as a great turning of time and space. It speaks to those powerful moments when life shifts beneath our feet, when the familiar gives way, and we are invited to see ourselves, our path, and the world around us differently.

Change can arrive through disruption, uncertainty, or even chaos. Yet within those moments, there is also an opportunity for renewal, healing, and transformation.

Brothers and Sisters worldwide. Join us in sacred community as we journey together through rhythm, ceremony, meditation, and shared intention. We will explore what may be asking to shift within us, what we are ready to release, and what we are being called to welcome into our lives.

Pachakuti reminds us that an ending does not always mean loss. Sometimes it is simply the earth turning beneath us, making space for something new to emerge. 🌀

Greetings, Global Shamanic Community. You are all invited to join us this Saturday at our monthly NY Shamanic Circle Open Circle- with Herman Olivera-now in its 29th year. No experience needed. Donations.

Fear often disguises itself as comfort, certainty, or “waiting for the right time.” Yet it can quietly prevent us from stepping into our authentic power, healing old wounds, and embracing meaningful transformation.

Join the New York Shamanic Circle (NYSC) this Saturday, August 8, for our monthly Open Circle, where we’ll gather in a safe, welcoming, and supportive space to explore this month’s theme:

Embracing Sachamama: The Union of the Snake 🐍

In the Andean traditions, Sachamama (Mother Snake) symbolizes deep transformation, wisdom, renewal, and the shedding of what no longer serves us. Like the snake sheds its skin, we too are invited to release limiting beliefs, fears, and old patterns so that we can move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and personal power.

Whether you’re new to shamanic practices or have been walking this path for years, this Open Circle offers an opportunity to:

✨ Experience guided shamanic practices

✨ Connect with a supportive community

✨ Deepen your spiritual awareness

✨ Receive practical tools for healing and personal growth

Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary—only an open heart and a willingness to explore.

We look forward to sharing this sacred space with you.

Suggested Donation: $20 (PayPal: [email protected])

You are warmly invited to join us for our next NY Shamanic Circle Open Circle on Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM (Eastern) via Zoom.
The seasons are always teaching us.
Summer reminds us that life longs to be fully expressed, to bloom without apology, to stand in the light, and to remember the gifts we came here to share.
This month’s gathering is an invitation to reclaim your authentic power not through force or striving, but through remembrance.
Together we’ll explore:
● What part of your spirit is asking to be seen?
● What inner wisdom is ready to emerge?
● What no longer serves your highest path?
● How can you walk forward with greater trust, presence, and heart?
Through guided journeying, ceremony, reflection, and the support of sacred community, we’ll create space for healing, insight, and transformation. There is nothing you need to become; only something beautiful to remember.
Please bring:
🕯️ A candle to honor the light within.
🌸 A fresh summer flower as an offering to the beauty and abundance of this season.
📖 A journal and pen to capture the messages and wisdom you receive.
💧 A glass of water for grounding and integration.
🌿 Sage, Palo Santo, or another sacred cleansing ally (optional).
If you’re new to the NY Shamanic Circle, we’d be honored to welcome you.
Please email [email protected] to receive the Zoom link.

Inti Raymi – The Sacred Solstice Celebration with Itzhak Beery

Inti Raymi, the ancient Andean Festival of the Sun, honors the Winter Solstice and the return of light. Celebrated by indigenous peoples throughout the Andes, it is a time to give thanks to the Sun, Mother Earth, and the forces that sustain life.

This sacred gathering invites us to pause, reflect, release what no longer serves us, and set intentions for the months ahead. Through ceremony, prayer, music, and community, Inti Raymi helps restore balance between the physical and spiritual worlds, bringing greater harmony, clarity, and purpose to our lives.

Join us in celebrating this powerful turning point of the year and reconnect with the natural rhythms that guide us toward balance and well-being.

In 2007, I founded Shaman Portal Org with a heartfelt mission: to share indigenous wisdom, protect the Amazon rainforest, and support the wisdom keepers who carry these ancient traditions forward for future generations. I believe their teachings are not only precious cultural treasures but essential guides for humanity's survival and healing.
This vision was born from a profound spiritual experience I had while taking Nátem-Ayahuasca with the Shuar people deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon. That journey opened a portal in my life and revealed a path I continue to walk with gratitude and passion, more than 30 years later.
Today, Shaman Portal continues to connect people around the world with authentic indigenous and modern shamanic teachings. Through our Wisdom Webinars, under Christian Thurow's direction, we bring together respected elders, healers, and visionary teachers from many traditions to inspire, educate, and build community.
We also publish SPQR Magazine, filled with insightful articles, interviews, and teachings; host special events and sacred journeys; and organize the Andes Summit in Ecuador, now celebrating its ninth year.
I warmly invite you to visit our website, explore the many resources we offer, and join our growing family of Agents of Change. You are also welcome to list your activities and services free of charge, read the latest news, discover upcoming events, and connect with a global community dedicated to healing, wisdom, and transformation.
Together, we can help keep these sacred traditions alive for generations to come. –Itzhak Beery,
Shungo, from my heart to yours.
