THE MONSTER HIDDEN IN THE AMAZON

Deep in the Amazon rainforest, one legend has survived for generations: the Mapinguari.

Passed down through Indigenous peoples and local Amazonian communities, the story speaks of a giant, hairy creature said to roam the darkest parts of the forest.

Some say the legend was born from fear, from strange sounds in the jungle, and from the dangers hidden deep in the wild. Others believe every legend begins with something real.

For some, it is only folklore. For others, the Amazon may still hide things we do not fully understand.

Could the Amazon rainforest still hide creatures we’ve never seen before?

Deep in the Amazon, acai is far more than just a fruit. It is called "purple gold" because it is the backbone of the local economy.

There are no machines or heavy industries in this process. Every single basket is harvested by traditional riverside families who climb towering palm trees by hand, using techniques passed down through generations.

This small-scale, traditional work does something incredible: it sustains entire communities, brings dignity to local workers, and keeps the rainforest standing.

For the people of the Amazon, acai isn’t a trend. It’s survival, identity, and the future of their land. 🌲💜

Most people don’t notice these small ports in the Amazon. But without them, many river communities would be almost completely isolated.

In this region, the river is not just part of the landscape. It is the main road, the supply route, and the connection between villages, towns, and regional markets.

Every day, boats pass through these small ports carrying food, fuel, medicine, building materials, fish, farm products, and passengers.

Many of these places have only basic infrastructure: wooden ramps, floating docks, small boats, and informal loading areas. But their role is much bigger than they appear.

They keep people moving. They keep supplies flowing. They keep local trade alive.

Small Amazon ports may look simple, but they are vital infrastructure for life along the rivers.
