Stamp is an international non-profit photography and videography program that aims to teach the techniques that allow storytelling and documentation. This agenda targets children who reside in less developed countries and areas who are in serious need of healthy coping skills. Through the tools of visual media, Stamp students will have an alternate and healing method of self-expression. Stamp give
s the youth a voice by helping them share their perspective of what surrounds them, what influences them and what good can be focused on. This ultimately allows children to bring reform to their communities through raw connection and exposing. The program expects to turn Stamp students’ photo-stories and short films into sellable products. Profit will be sent back to these young artists to fund their hobbies and educational expenses. During the month of July in summer 2015, Stamp will start its first four-week program in Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies at Cross Primary School within Palmers District. Though the benefits of creative self-expression do not end at any certain age, Stamps qualified team will execute a three day a week teaching plan geared towards thirty fairly chosen students between the ages of eight and eleven, leaving them knowledgeable of the basic fundamentals behind photography and videography. Students also will be able to constructively give observant feedback at the end of the program. Honoring others’ self-expression in a respective manner is indeed, a STAMP PROJECT goal. On a personal level, Stamps team knows the positive results of creating, artistry and simply, being a part of something that brings your soul joy. If it can help us during low times, we can only imagine what it could do for others in countries and areas that are further behind than the ones we reside in. STAMP PROJECT is our gratitude put together and come to life. Xavier Webber | Co-founder/Photo Instructor

Stamps squad and allies know many of the prospective students we teach are “exposed to poverty, malnutrition, poor health and unstimulating home environments which can detrimentally affect their cognitive, motor and social/emotional development,” but we KNOW learning how to deal with stress and the overall advantages of artistically creating can derail many potential harms that child can face. A means of self-expression lessons possible future illnesses that effect the mind, body and soul and strengthens potential change for the better. Stamp students are encouraged to and able to release their thoughts and emotions with each click and yelled, “ACTION!” Stress is alleviated. Through a camera one can be more honest and less self-conscious. Taking photographs and making short films helps one step away from their situation. Recognition of one’s value and morals are slowly but surely achieved. Self-actualization is in the horizon. Levels of understanding are broadened. Less maybes and more definite’s happen for a person with a strong sense of self and that is a destined personality trait of a Stamp student. Happiness is created in what the future holds, the now and opportunities with helping one another create something memorable and beautiful. Stamp gives future leaders OPTIONS. Through their lens a great instrument of influence is adapted to. Subtly, seeing an answer to a problem in oneself is a good step towards seeing an answer to a problem in the world. The team desires to open, clear and water minds. Somewhere a child has a solution but lacks the means of relaying that information or a way to delve deep and find it. STAMP PROJECT brings the means to that child. STAMP PROJECT helps the child reach. Between making an impact in the world/influencing someone else to, teaching, providing art therapy and most importantly, allowing fun in an environment that celebrates the authentic self, STAMP PROJECT stands firm in making an imprint within each student’s life. Stamp students will now be able to make an imprint in the environment that surrounds them. This starts a cycle and movement that can only help those who are a part of it.
