“The art market will triple in size in 10 years, because you guys will start buying. Why? Because you will have more data that will make you more confident in the purchasing process, and AI will help discover art that fits you,” Magnus Resch

This week we brought together some of the sharpest voices in the art world to talk data, AI, collecting, institutions, and whether New York will still be the center of it all in 30 years.

Thank you to Prof. , , .sanchoarroyo and for an evening we will not forget. And to our co-hosts Bocconi Alumni New York for making it happen.

This was the first in our Road to Global Conference series, leading up to the Bocconi Alumni Global Conference and Friends of Bocconi Gala in New York this September.

Our mission is rooted in creating opportunities that shape the future.

Last fall, nine students were given the opportunity to pursue their studies at through the support of the American Fund. Their stories represent the core of what philanthropy can achieve. Together, we are changing lives and changing the world one student at a time with real impact, real change, and access to education.

Together, we continue building a legacy that extends far beyond the classroom.

We are committed to keeping that exchange active, meaningful, and forward-looking.

At our Bocconi Connecting Minds evening in New York, we had the privilege of hearing directly from Nicoletta Zampillo Del Vecchio, whose testimony on the love and vision behind her husband Leonardo’s legacy was, for everyone present, a profound life lesson.

Journalists Mario Calvo-Platero and Maria Silvia Sacchi guided a conversation, drawing out the values that have shaped one of Italy’s most significant philanthropic legacies.

We also heard from Riccardo Cornaggia, a Fondazione Leonardo Del Vecchio scholarship recipient, who shared his journey from a childhood dream to a thriving reality. His words were a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when barriers are removed and potential is given room to grow.

This is the work Friends of Bocconi exists to support: real stories, real impact, and a belief that access to world-class education should never be limited by financial circumstance.

We are grateful to for hosting us so beautifully, and to everyone who made this evening so memorable.

What does it mean to invest in the next generation?
Last week in New York, we spoke about its profound impact.

Friends of Bocconi was honored to co-host an intimate evening with the Bocconi Alumni New York Chapter, welcoming Nicoletta Zampillo Del Vecchio, President of Fondazione Leonardo Del Vecchio, for a conversation on education, philanthropy, and the enduring power of believing in people.

In 2024, the Fondazione Leonardo Del Vecchio formalized a historic €20 million donation to Università Bocconi, creating a permanent endowment that funds full scholarships for at least ten deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds every year, in perpetuity.

At Friends of Bocconi, our mission is to connect the American philanthropic Community with the transformative power of a Bocconi education. Evenings like this one remind us why that work matters deeply.

More to come from this special evening. Stay tuned.
