The real magic happens when the activities end. Our youth, volunteers, and staff hang out, prep lunch, and eat together. There is nothing quite like the community built around a dinner table (or a folding table!).

“Serve one another humbly in love.” – Galatians 5:13 🫶✨

Last month, the Blue Hat Crew had the absolute privilege of hosting a pop-up cafe at The Harvest Church. Every beverage poured was an opportunity to connect and serve our community with a servant’s heart.

We are so grateful to The Harvest Church for opening their doors, and to everyone who came by to share in this beautiful time of connection. We left with full hearts, deeply reminded of the beauty found in serving others.

Caleb spent an incredible day exploring historic buildings in Staten Island to track down design inspiration for his next model-making project. There is nothing quite like studying the real-world craftsmanship, textures, and scaling up close to help bring a miniature world to life.
Every building has a story, and every individual brings a unique perspective to it. Let’s keep building spaces—and art—where everyone feels connected. 📐🧩

We’re looking to recruit two NYC Civic Corps members to join the CAA team this fall! 🎨

If you’re passionate about disability inclusion and want to spend a year doing meaningful work in the heart of Chinatown, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for two fellows:
🔵 Program Development — help us implement our evaluation systems and program tools that keep our work responsive, high-quality, and growing
🟢 Community Outreach & Engagement — help us expand our community presence, deepen our partner network, and connect more families to our programs

Both positions run September 2026 to June 2027. Members receive a $24,500 stipend, MetroCard benefits, healthcare, and a $5,176 education award.

Mandarin or Cantonese speakers encouraged to apply.

Last month, we hosted our Achievement Ceremony to recognize the incredible milestones of everyone in our program. 🏆 Beyond the awards, it was a beautiful day to celebrate the deep friendships and connections we share with our amazing staff, families, volunteers, and community partners.
