2024 General Election: Make Your Voice Heard!

The General Election is happening on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, where you can vote for the next President and Vice President. This chance only comes every 4 years, so it's important for all of us to exercise our civic duty and vote. Your vote matters in shaping the future of our country.

Key Dates to Remember:

October 26: Deadline to register to vote and request an early mail ballot.
October 26 - November 3: In-person early voting. Be sure to check your early voting location and hours, as they may differ from your usual polling site.
November 5: Election Day! Polls are open from 6am - 9pm at your designated location.
Not registered to vote yet?

You can register online or download a paper form, available in English and 15 other languages. Also, check your voter status to make sure you're registered, especially if you’ve moved or haven’t voted recently.

Hello Everyone, nearly after 15 years the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has reopened the waitlist for its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8 Program on Monday, June 3, 2024. The deadline to apply for this housing opportunity is Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

Mental Health Matters

We are happy to share that our three-hour event on May 25th, organized by Shetu and MAA - Mothers for Advocacy & Awareness, was a great success!

Held at India Home in Jamaica, NY, the event focused on mental health and autism in the South Asian community. We had amazing speakers, informative video presentations, and wonderful performances. It was a day full of learning, support, and resource sharing, with participants of all ages from our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this event special. Let’s keep supporting each other and raising awareness!
