Reminder: US HOCKEY PLAYERS SUPPORT OUR TROOPS is a family sponsored charity that raises funds through the youth hockey community and beyond. Our primary mission is to honor and remember our fallen heroes. We do that by donating the funds we raise in a few different ways. All donations are made in honor of a specific fallen soldier, post 911. All the profiles we put up on this page are profiles of
those who we have been able to honor in some way....approximately 4,100 fallen heroes and counting. We make donations in this order of preference:
1-Directly to Gold Star Families
2-To Projects/Charities Sponsored by Gold Star Families
3-To Third Party charities suggested by Gold Star Families
4-To a charity fitting to the individual soldier, if we can not do #1, #2 or #3 above. (For example: Wounded Warrior Project, Marine Semper Fi Fund, Lead The Way Fund etc.)
5-Through our Memorial Care Package Program (We send Care Packages to deployed troops that are dedicated to fallen soldiers. Each CP carries the name, rank, hometown and photograph of the fallen hero it is dedicated to.)
