The Siller Family started the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory and carry on the legacy of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping 60 lbs. of gear to his back and rushing on foot through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he gave up his life while saving others. The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit is a tool to educate America and its youth about the historic events of that day. Welcomed around the country in cities like Dubuque, Iowa, Sturgis, South Dakota, Tampa, Florida, and Waseca, Minnesota, the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit – a high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer, which unfolds into a 1,100 square foot exhibit, serves as a poignant reminder of that tragic day. The memorial provides interactive education; including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, recordings of first responder radio transmissions, and live tours by FDNY firefighters. Entrance into the exhibit is always free of charge and accessible. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to ensuring WE NEVER FORGET.
