SPARK is where young curious women get to explore their interests and become leaders through shared learning experiences 💫.

A reading circle can inspire a love for storytelling while also gaining new ideas 💡and knowledge that help young women to make better informed decisions for themselves.

An environmental project can sow the seeds of a young woman’s connection to nature 🌱 and finding ways for her community to practice more environmentally friendly habits and ways of living.

One young woman’s choice to learn and engage in SPARK initiatives can lead not only her, but also the community she lives in to dream bigger 🙌, gain more confidence and career opportunities, and build better sustainable livelihoods.

What they start here can take them further ahead!

Learning goes beyond the classroom at our LAMP Academies, where we support young women to grow as leaders and be exposed to fun ✨, hands-on, and transformative 🌱 new learning experiences.

Recently, one of our exciting activities has been introducing beekeeping 🐝 to students.

At the beginning, Akshaya knew very little about bees and was afraid of them. But she didn’t let fear stop her. Through guided training on the field with staff and peers, she learned how to care of the hives, observe the bees, and understand the beekeeping process.

Today, she manages 4 hives on her own family’s land!

For other students like Ruth and Kavya, beekeeping is now also a new income-generating activity they can do together with their mothers, turning this into a family bonding activity rooted in environmental care 🌿 and building sustainable livelihoods 📈.

This season, the group also harvested their first batch of honey🍯, with one hive alone having produced half a kilogram of honey - we’re excited to see what the next season brings! 🤗

Menstruating is a natural part of womanhood.

But far too often young women and girls have limited understanding on this topic and few places where they can comfortably learn and discuss more about it together.

Across our LAMP Academies, it’s a different story - here, young women are thriving in safe and supportive spaces where they can ask questions without being silenced or judged, challenge myths, gain knowledge about menstrual health & hygiene, and learn more about their bodies without fear or shame.

And it’s creating an incredible ripple effect. Their confidence is leading to open conversations among friends, families, and communities - creating a future where periods are met with confidence—not stigma.

Learning creates lasting change when it reaches beyond the classroom 🌱.
As part of our menstrual health initiatives, young women across our LAMP Academies recently took part in a hands-on workshop making reusable cloth menstrual pads—building practical skills while learning about menstrual health, sustainability, self-care, and informed choice. 💜🧵
But the impact goes far beyond the workshop.
Every young woman participating in these workshops gains knowledge and confidence that she shares with her friends, sisters, and family, creating a ripple effect that strengthens entire communities.
One skill. Countless conversations. Lasting change. ✨
