During Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reflecting on "the first night" — the moment families arrive at Ronald McDonald House New York carrying fear, exhaustion, uncertainty, and hope all at once. For many families navigating pediatric illness, emotional wellness is deeply connected to having a place to stay together, access support, and find moments of stability during crisis.
At RMH-NY, we believe caring for families means caring for their emotional well-being, too. And we strive to create spaces where parents can breathe, children can simply be kids, and no one has to face difficult moments alone.
