POTS offers a variety of comprehensive and personalized services to fight poverty and hunger in The Bronx.

POTS ofrece una variedad de servicios comprehensivos y personalizados para luchar contra la pobreza y el hambre en el Bronx. Since 1982, Part of the Solution (POTS) has grown to become a leading provider of comprehensive and personalized services to fight poverty and hunger in the Bronx. Our free services are organized in three programmatic pillars:
•Dignity and wellness program (including shower,

haircuts, mail, medical and dental services)
•Food Security program (including a food pantry and community dining room)
•Long-term stability program (including guidance on the application to public benefits -like SNAP and Unemployment Insurance-, guidance to achieve long-term personal growth -education and employment goals- and legal services to prevent eviction and support housing and income stability). Desde 1982, POTS (Part of the Solution) ha crecido hasta convertirse en un líder proveedor de servicios comprehensivos y personalizados para luchar contra la pobreza y el hambre en el Bronx. Nuestros servicios gratuitos están organizados en tres pilares programáticos:
- Programa de dignidad y bienestar (incluye duchas, corta de cabello, correo postal y servicios médicos y dentales)
-Programa de seguridad alimentaria (incluye despensa de comida y comedor comunitario)

Every person at POTS has a story, and every story helps shape the work we do.

In this edition of Get to Know Us, meet Jose Lezama, one of the dedicated team members helping keep our Food Pantry running for thousands of Bronx families. Jose first joined POTS as a volunteer, inspired by our mission to serve others. Today, he is an invaluable part of our staff, helping ensure our neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need while bringing compassion and commitment to every interaction.
