Another impactful event from the LUV Youth Ambassadors! Mahjong and Mingle brings the community together for a night of fun, awareness raising, and nourishing lives in South Sudan and Sudan. Tonight’s event helped provide 75 children (and counting) a month of meals — and food security is critical to preventing human trafficking and empowering changemakers.

No child should have to trade their childhood for survival.

Yet today, nearly 138 million children around the world are still engaged in child labor — with many working in dangerous conditions that threaten their health, safety, and future.

In places impacted by war, poverty, and instability, many children are pushed into labor simply to help their families survive. Others become vulnerable to trafficking, exploitation, abuse, and forced marriage when basic needs and protection are out of reach.

At Lift Up the Vulnerable, we believe prevention starts early. Through safe environments, nutritious meals, holistic care, education, and local support systems, vulnerable children are given opportunities to grow, heal, and build safer futures.

Because every child deserves the chance to simply be a child.

A nutritious meal can change far more than hunger.

For students in LUV’s network, consistent access to food helps support learning, health, stability, and hope for the future.

This past year, 85% of the food consumed at our largest school in South Sudan was grown locally on LUV’s farm, along with 21% at our second-largest farm in Sudan — helping create more sustainable access to nourishment for vulnerable children and communities.

What an incredible weekend of LUV & Impact in Wilmington, NC! ❤️

We are so grateful for everyone who joined us for our Night of LUV & Impact fundraiser, as well as those who supported and prayed from afar.

It was also encouraging to spend time with our dedicated Board of Directors, celebrating what God has done, reflecting on the challenges ahead, and planning for even greater impact in the years to come.

Thank you for standing with us and making this impossible work in warzones POSSIBLE. Every child protected, every student educated, and every life transformed is a testament to God at work through YOUR generosity.

• Pray for strength and encouragement for caregivers, dorm parents, and teachers investing daily in vulnerable children.
