Where your generosity goes matters.

In 2025, 83.25% of LUV’s expenses went directly to programs, supporting protection, education, economic development, infrastructure, and nutrition for children and communities in Africa.

The remaining 16.75% helped sustain the work through administration, development, and reporting.

Every dollar is stewarded with care to create lasting impact — protecting and empowering the vulnerable.

The way we use our time, our resources, and our influence matters.

We’re grateful for leaders like JoAnna Jinks and Kelly Hensley of Jinks Concrete Contractors, who are intentionally investing in what matters most — children, families, and communities in some of the hardest places. As Corporate Advisors, their partnership is helping create lasting impact across LUV’s network.

“Our motto at Jinks Concrete Contractors Inc is ‘Finish Well’ which makes sense as concrete finishers. But as the core members of Jinks, we also want to ‘Finish Well’ in life which means making sure our treasure, our hearts, & our time is where Abba has called them to be. One of those places is Lift Up the Vulnerable. Jesus loves children, He loves the hurting, the vulnerable, the poor and the needed and He wants His followers to be about the same.”
—JoAnna Jinks, Contract Manager, and Kelly Hensley, Senior Estimator for Jinks Concrete Contractors

We’re thankful for partners who are choosing to live with purpose.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who carry so much — especially in communities facing deep hardship.

Women like Teresa.

Widowed in the midst of war, she stepped in to care for six children, her own and her nephews, doing whatever it took to provide for them. Through LUV’s network, she found not just support, but opportunity. Today, she prepares meals for hundreds of children, serving each one with the same love she has for her own.

That’s what a mother’s love looks like — steady, sacrificial, and full of hope.

And now, something she once only dreamed of is becoming reality. A new kitchen, almost complete, will transform how meals are prepared, creating a safer, more sustainable space for Teresa and others to serve the next generation.

This Mother’s Day, honor a mother who has impacted your life by giving in her name — helping provide nourishment, dignity, and hope to families like Teresa’s: www.liftupthevulnerable.org/donate

This month, please join us in praying for:

• Our team in Sudan. Eugenio, Pauline, and a technician arrived at Our Father’s Cleft (OFC) last week to offer critical trainings, monitoring and evaluation, and encouragement for the leadership and students. Please pray for their safety and time with the OFC community.

• Continued impact from the recent CS Monitor article highlighting the peacemakers being raised up through OFC. Pray the story continues reaching the right people and inspires more support for vulnerable children in Sudan and South Sudan.

• Strength, wisdom, and protection for the leadership team in Sudan and their families as they continue serving through ongoing conflict, hunger, and instability.

Please specifically pray for Ezekiel Ayub (Director), Joseph Abud (Deputy Director), Mark Adam (Child Welfare Coordinator and Sr. Administrator), Manal Hassan Shamila (Administrator), and the 57 local leaders faithfully caring for children at OFC each day.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer. Your faithfulness brings encouragement, hope, and support to children and communities who need it most.

This National Teacher Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating the educators across LUV’s network who are creating safe spaces for children to learn, grow, and thrive in Sudan and South Sudan.

But many of their students are still sitting on the floor during lessons.

Join the LUV Youth Ambassadors in uplifting children by providing one of the most essential tools for learning — a desk.

Your gift will help fund 120 locally crafted desks, giving every child a place to sit, learn, and dream.

Because when you give a child a seat, you’re offering dignity, comfort, and a stronger learning environment — building their future, one desk at a time.

Be part of what these teachers are building: https://liftupthevulnerable.networkforgood.com/projects/261750-build-their-future-one-desk-at-a-time?hid=NTQ1MjY2MTg=&utm_campaign=dms_email_blast_4613689

Lasting change begins when solutions are led by those who understand the heartbeat of their community. At LUV, we don’t just work in Sudan and South Sudan — we empower local leaders who live the mission every day.

Behind every number is a life, a story, a future.

In 2025, hundreds of children were protected, thousands were equipped through education, and entire communities were strengthened through meaningful work.

Together, we’re creating a different path forward.

LUV’s Youth Ambassadors hosted an impactful 2nd annual 🦞 LUV Bugs: Crawfish for a Cause 💕 fundraiser last night in AL! Gathering over 250 people from the community to share about Lift Up the Vulnerable’s work preventing human trafficking in warzones — and how this dedicated and compassionate youth leadership team has been making a difference in the lives of children in Sudan and South Sudan.

Presented by Thompson Tractor Company, last night’s event brought together great food, live music by Brian Authement, and a shared purpose. Together, the community raised over $20,000 (and counting) for our anti-trafficking programs — with a special focus on building desks in South Sudan for one of our schools. If you’d like to help cheer them on and also uplift youth in South Sudan, consider donating to our desk fundraiser: https://liftupthevulnerable.networkforgood.com/projects/261750-build-their-future-one-desk-at-a-time

With the youth ambassadors we’re working to build a stronger future for vulnerable children: one desk — and crawfish — at a time!

Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the night possible and our sponsors:

Lasting change is built over time.

In 2025, LUV made strategic investments in infrastructure — improving daily life now while laying foundations for the future.

From clean water to energy-efficient kitchens, these investments are creating safer, healthier environments for hundreds of students every day.

This is what long-term care looks like.
