As part of our ongoing residency on Governors Island, It is our pleasure and honor to present residency and solo art exhibition by Tajul Imam one of the pioneer Bangladeshi artist in America.

Freedom fighter Tajul Imam is a Bangladeshi‑born multidisciplinary artist and now living and working in the United States. Trained at Chittagong Charukola and in U.S. digital art programs, he works across oils, acrylic, watercolor, ink, mixed‑media, and digital forms, carrying music and poetry into his visual language.

His paintings arise from intuition and lived experience, distilling the quiet movements of nature—light shifting, clouds drifting, waves surging—into an abstract vocabulary of color, rhythm, and texture. Each work becomes a moment of perception, capturing time in motion and the evolving consciousness of the artist.
