Passing down the rich legacy of America’s musical theater to future generations Inside Broadway was established in 1982 at the invitation of Bernard B.

Jacobs, the late President of The Shubert Organization, as an effort to create a student ticket program for New York City schools students. Today, Inside Broadway develops and produces touring equity musical productions as well as a wide range of educational programs that allow students to interact with professionals in the field and experience theatre hands-on in the classroom.

In his latest New York Daily News op-ed, Inside Broadway’s Founder, President & CEO Michael Presser recounts the importance of making culture more accessible to New Yorkers, and how investing in today’s youth helps develop educated and sophisticated cultural consumers. 🎭

With the new school year brings a brand new CASA show! ✨ “NYC Musical Mystery” tells a story using NYC’s five boroughs and iconic Broadway music to help solve a mystery of the Statue of Liberty’s missing crown. Through this in-school residency, students will work with an Inside Broadway Teaching Artist to learn about acting, choreographing, and vocal performance to create a show to present for their family and local community. 🎶🎭

Inside Broadway is proud to work with New York City Council, NYC Dept of Cultural Affairs, and local council members to bring this program NYC public schools across the five boroughs.

After seven dazzling years on Broadway, Moulin Rouge! The Musical played its final performance on Broadway last Sunday. Inside Broadway was thrilled to partner with the show for our Creating the Magic program back in 2023, giving students a a magical glimpse behind the curtain. ✨❤️

Class is nearly back in session for NYC public school students, and with a new school year comes a fresh lineup of free, fun, and educational arts programming! 🎭🎶
