As part of Inside Broadway’s Summer Stock Junior program, students have the unique opportunity to see a Broadway show, giving them direct access to a professional theatre production before they put on their own performance. Previous trips to Broadway have included Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Aladdin, Back to the Future, and more! 🎭🎶

Meet Inside Broadway Teaching Artist Daisy Chase! ✨

Daisy Chase (they/them/theirs) is an NYC-based actor, director, singer, model, teaching artist, and editor. They‘ve been involved in the arts since a young child and have been performing professionally since the age of 16. They’ve amassed over 30 stage and screen credits, including the East Coast regional premiere of The Tall Girls (Lurlene Lonestead), A Chorus Line (Cassie), and Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), to name a few. They are also an openly autistic performer and teacher, and are very passionate about accessibility and making art both teachable and enjoyable to students and performers of all neurotypes, disabilities, and identities.

Yesterday, Michael Presser, Katie McAllister, and the Inside Broadway staff gave Elisha Herring-Cooper a farewell luncheon as she leaves NYC to join her husband in England. Thank you for all your work at Inside Broadway, Elisha. Best wishes, and good luck in the UK! 💙

That’s a wrap on this year’s professional touring production of The Marvelous Wonderettes! How fitting that we end our tour on World Theater Day, a day to celebrate the beauty and important of theatre arts. 🎭

So proud of this immensely talented cast and crew and their dedication to bringing this fun musical to life. 💕🍭

celebrates 12 years on Broadway today! What a magical (carpet) ride it’s been. In 2024, Inside Broadway’s Summer Stock Jr. cast had the opportunity to see the musical before putting on their own rendition of the show.

Registration for Summer Stock Junior 2026 is now OPEN! 🚨

Summer Stock Jr. is a two-week, musical theatre intensive for students passionate about the performing arts. While working with industry professionals, our students learn the necessary skills to perform in their own musical, helping them grow both as an artist and an individual. This program also gives students access to special Q&As with Broadway professionals and a matinee ticket to a Broadway show.

Women’s History Month Spotlight! 💖 Today, we highlight Tony Award-nominated playwright and performer Jocelyn Bioh.

✍️ Bioh is the brilliant playwright behind the play “Jaja African Hair Braiding,” centered around a group of West African immigrants to New York. It was the first Broadway show to use “African” in its title in 120 years.

🏆 “Jaja African Hair Braiding” premiered on Broadway in 2023 and would go on to be nominated for 5 TONY Awards.

🎭 Bioh is also a successful actor — she appeared on Broadway in 2014 in ”The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.”

Join us in celebrating Women’s History Month with a look at some of Broadway’s leading ladies – starting with “Mama Broadway” herself, Audra McDonald!

🎭 Audra made her Broadway debut in 1992, assuming the role of Ayah in the Broadway premiere of “The Secret Garden.”

🏆 She has won more Tony Awards than any other actor in Broadway history and is the only person to have won Tonys in all four acting categories (Lead/Featured Actor in a Play/Musical)
