Yesterday was an incredible day of discussion and learning as our inaugural cohort of the Lieberman Fellowship for Jewish Organizations Serving Young Adults met at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Together, we explored important topics like "Solving the Right Problems" with Rabbi Ruti Regan, conducted an inclusion audit of young adult engagement, and shared strategies for more inclusive programming. Additionally, attendees gained valuable insights from a panel on employment featuring Lew Fontek from Makom , Aaron Kaufman from Jewish Federations of North America , and Liz Weintraub from Tuesdays with Liz: Disability Policy for ALL. The day wrapped up with a lovely reception for our cohort and local Matan friends.

Matan is proud to partner with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for our first cohort, and we look forward to our next session as we work together to create more inclusive, supportive spaces for young adults in Jewish life!

Thank you to everyone who joined us Monday night at our Matan webinar, "Creating a More Inclusive Community for People who Stutter." Participants learned about stuttering misperceptions and facts with Maria Binger, M.A., CCC-SLP. Additionally, they heard from a panel who shared their Jewish and secular experiences growing up as people who stutter, how they view their own acceptance, and how they feel teachers and leaders could provide support in the Jewish community.
