Meet Avishag 🥋🇮🇱🏅

Avishag Semberg is an Olympic medalist, Taekwondo champion, and inspiration to the next generation of Israeli athletes!

Through unwavering determination, discipline, and hard work, Avishag has established herself as one of Israel’s leading athletes and a role model for young people across the country.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that with big dreams, self-belief, and perseverance, anything is possible.🌟

Last week, we hosted over 20 professionals in NYC for a breakfast with remarks from our YRF & Darca CEO, Dr. Gil Pereg, generously hosted by NFP. 🥯🇮🇱

Dr. Pereg flew in from Israel to share exclusive updates about our Darca Schools, the situation on the ground, and the Network’s plans for future growth, followed by an engaging Q&A.

Last month, over 200 guests joined us for a powerful evening highlighting Project Simurgh — an innovative YRF program preparing the next generation of Darca School students through an immersive curriculum in Farsi language, Persian culture, and data-driven analysis. 🇮🇱🦁🥂

We are deeply grateful to the Samadi Family for generously welcoming us into their home, and to Sarah & Michael Kashani for co-hosting this meaningful gathering.

We were also honored to have Danny Danon, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, attend and address our guests.

A special thank you to Jasmine Samadi, who shared her family’s inspiring journey of leaving Iran and building a new life, while maintaining a deep connection to the country they once called home.

As we approach the anniversary of October 7th, we honor the heroic story of Amit Mann z”l, a graduate of Darca Navon High School in Netivot.

At just 22 years old, Amit was a paramedic who became a symbol of extraordinary courage on that devastating day. Under attack in Kibbutz Be’eri, she remained in the clinic for hours treating the wounded, despite the danger around her. Rather than seek safety for herself, Amit stayed by their side until medical supplies ran out and the terrorists closed in.

Amit’s final hours reflected the values with which she lived her life — compassion, bravery, and an unwavering commitment to others. We are proud to remember her as a Darca graduate and to honor the remarkable legacy she left behind.

May Amit’s memory forever be a blessing.🕯️🇮🇱

YRF Golf Tournament 2026 ⛳️🇮🇱

Not even a nor’easter could keep us off the course! Thank you to our players for braving the morning rain in such great spirits before the skies cleared up for a beautiful afternoon of golf.

Together, we raised over $265,000 to support Darca students across Israel! We are incredibly grateful to every player, sponsor, donor, and supporter who helped make the day such a success.

A special thank you to our incredible YRF Golf Committee — Stuart Angowitz, Harlan Cherniak, Jason Greenstein, Max Greyserman, Jacquie Greyserman-Ptalis, Ivan Lehon, Hadley Ma, and Jamie Schweid — for their dedication and leadership.

We were grateful to have Tour Professional, Dean Greyserman, kick off the day with a full swing clinic and share his expertise with our players. We also want to recognize our Swag & Raffle Sponsors — Forme, Callaway Golf, Caddy Splash®️, and Israeli w**e — for their generous contributions that made the outing extra special.

Asael Shikli, a graduate of Darca Shikma in Yad Mordechai, successfully completed the Ironman competition in Estonia! 🚴🏊🏻🏃🏻

He finished 14 hours of intense physical effort, including a 3.8km swim in a lake, 180km of cycling, and a full 42km marathon to the finish line with a smile.

Behind this remarkable achievement are mental strength, perseverance, discipline, and an inspiring fighting spirit.

Through Darca’s Alumni Unit, we have had the privilege of supporting Asael, as well as other talented young athletes, through our Sports Excellence Scholarship Program.

For us, this is exactly what it means to give our Darca students and alumni the support they need to dream big, set ambitious goals, and break records!
