[AMHERST POLICE, NY] -- The Amherst Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 11-year-old male, Ryder Reed. He was last seen by family on May 14, 2025, at approximately 10:00 AM in the 4000 block of Harlem Road in Amherst. Ryder may be wearing grey shorts.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Amherst Police Department at 716-689-1311.

FIVE-YEAR-OLD BUFFALO GIRL WITH DOWN SYNDROME IN NEED OF COMMUNITY’S HELP

True Love is a beautiful 5-year-old girl with Down syndrome who is in need of the community’s help.

True was born months early and spent a significant amount of time in the NICU after birth. She has endured many surgeries throughout her little life.

Her family always shares about her incredible gains in life. She is nicknamed “Trooper True”. Since Feb. 17, True has been intubated at Oishei Children’s hospital. She went in with croup and the flu and had difficulty breathing. Since then they have faced many obstacles.

She’s had several surgeries to removed parts of her intestines due to poor blood and oxygen flow. She now is fed through a tube. She has been bedridden for almost a month and is starting OT and PT to regain her strength while awaiting and intestinal transplant.

Please consider supporting True so her family can have one less thing to worry about while praying for a recovery for their beautiful girl.
