West Side Arts Coalition The WSAC exists to help bring artists of all disciplines together with the community through art exhibitions, poetry, and music performances. and abroad.

The West Side Arts Coalition (WSAC) was founded in 1979 by a group of visual and performing artists on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Members now hail from many locations across the U.S. In 1980 we were granted Not-for-Profit Corporation status. We established our headquarters at the Broadway Mall Community Center in 1986. d every three weeks from September through June at the Broadway Mall Community Center, a renovated Beaux-Art building on the center island at 96th Street and Broadway in New York City. Other exhibitions and performances sponsored by the WSAC are held at outside venues. The WSAC has exhibited members' work in the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center, the Manhattan Borough President's Office, The Weill Cornell Medical Library, The Arsenal Gallery, Lafayette Grill, Tompkins Square Library, and St. Francis College, Brooklyn. Periodically, the organization offers cultural programs that benefit the community and its visitors. Some of the activities the WSAC has presented include Art Auction for the Benefit of the Homeless, AIDS Awareness Art Exhibition, Landmark Architectural Photo Exhibit, Black History Month Exhibit, Women's History Month Exhibit, Hispanic Heritage Month Exhibit, Peace and Justice Concert Exhibit, Global Warming exhibit, and in 2010 an Exhibit dedicated to the People of Haiti.
