TwentyTwenty Books believes that being a talented author telling great stories is important, but if an author uses their power to harm others, we will not include their books on our list, no matter how wonderful their writing is or groundbreaking their work. As a result of the allegations of sexual harassment against Sherman Alexie, we have removed "Indian Killer" from our reading list.

Our Board and crowd-sourced suggestions lead to a great list of books that participants in TwentyTwenty Books book clubs might choose from. Take a look (https://www.twentytwentybooks.org/books/)! What are we missing? Is there anything that shouldn't be there?

TwentyTwenty Books partners with community-based organizations to create book clubs for people ages 16-25 and provides adult fiction and memoirs.

A year ago, I picked up "Mulberry" by Paulette Boudreaux, at AWP and I finally had the chance to read it tonight. So much to think about! If you are looking for "quiet" literary fiction set in a black Mississippi community in 1963-1964, this a good choice.
